Personality And Character

Denki is seen as a young man with averagely long blonde spiky hair with a black lightning bolt like symbol on his hair close to his left eye. His hero costume is consists of a plain white shirt and a black jacket along with a black trouser which have white lightning bolts on them to represent his quirk. Denki always tries to be the cool guy when he is among his peers, he also tries to sound cool but ends up being cut down by Kyoka Jiro who laughs or just responds sarcastically at his attempts to look cool. His energetic personality and friendly nature is what is mostly seen throughout the series, he is also more than willing to encourage positiveness and protect his peers whenever he can.

Denki also tries to grab the attention of the girls in his class and also sometimes joins Minoru Meneta on his not so smooth approaches to hitting on girls. He usually ends up getting rejected or ignored by girls too. Denki sometimes comes off as overconfident and is immediately put in place, this is seen during his battle with Ibara Shiozaki when he tried to ask her out on a date and show off but ended up being easily overpowered by her. On the other hand, during the heat of a battle with villains, Denki becomes stressful and took a while to believe in himself and had to constantly force himself to use his quirk. Denki also has a limit to his quirk, overuse of his quirk leads him into going into an odd and fatigued state, he also has a signature and iconic pose of sticking double thumbs ups to show that he's doing fine even though he may not be in the best state.

The Electrification Quirk

Denki's quirk - electrification is one of the most powerful electric quirks in the series, he is able to shoot electric bolts over long distances and is also able to cover himself in electricity. However, he does lack control of emitting his lightning charge as it spreads without control when emitted. Since Denki can generate electricity he also has the ability to absorb it. When using his electrification quirk, Denki is able to put up a defense in case someone were to come in contact with him, this leads to the person being severely electrified leaving them unable to move, if another person were to come in contact with the person who is being electrocuted, that person will also fall prey to the electrical surge. His power comes extremely handy in situations where he may be surrounded by enemies as Denki is able to emit a charge that can cover an area electrifying all those in his way, however this does have its drawbacks as it can also affect his peers who are around him.

Later, Denki is given a new high-tech sharpshooting gear which allows him to aim his attacks rather than having uncontrolled outburst of electricity, the sharpshooter device also comes with pointers and dial that gives him the ability to choose which way he wants to point and aim his electric attack towards, Denki also wears a see through visor that updates Denki with details regarding the pointers. Although Denki does not have any combat or hand-to-hand abilities, he makes up for it with his power of electricity, his powerful electricity attacks can instantly paralyze an opponent and leave them in a state of literal shock. He also has an earpiece that he wears, and uses electricity to communicate with radio channels no matter where he is and is able to make tactical and sound decisions when it comes to battling opponents

Denki is also able to strategize when fighting enemies and can think fast when fighting. Denki's most popular and powerful attack is known as Indiscriminate shock 1.3 million volts, this attack is so powerful as Denki emits a massive amount of electricity that shocks everyone in his vicinity, he also uses an even more powerful attack which is known as Indiscriminate shock 2 million volts, but this just weakens him even quicker. In general, Denki is a powerful character in the My Hero Academia series and is an essential hero.
