These fights are the peak of My Hero Academia's Final War Saga.

That is the true strength of My Hero Academia and, it once again showed very well in chapter 405 of the series. Now, Bakugo has joined the battle officially and it will be his job to finish things off once and for all and crush All For One.

Sir Nighteye Flashback

Sir Nighteye From My Hero Academia 405

Nighteye was seen at the beginning of the chapter. This is something that fans somewhat expected to happen in the arc, given the circumstances surrounding Yagi. All Might had death flags all over him and it was believed that he could potentially die here. His death was sealed in the story long ago and Sir Nighteye made it very clear that he would die a gruesome death. However, long ago in the story, All Might promised that he would twist fate with his own two hands and that was something that he claimed in front of Deku as well. For him, this was supposed to be the biggest battle of his life and it certainly was, given that he twisted fate with his own hands and, he raised fantastic students who would finally succeed where he couldn't.

Sir Nighteye and Yagi held a very beautiful conversation in this chapter where the former actually went on and confirmed that this was supposed to be the place of his death. He also confirmed that All Might is not going to die anytime soon and that he had successfully managed to avert the calamity that was going to befall him. Fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as All Might have actually survived the worst. Nighteye also put it beautifully into words, saying that Heroes deserve to be saved too and now, he's the one being rescued by his own students.

From here onward, the story got back to the current timeline and fans were finally able to have a look at their former Number One Hero. The Symbol of Peace, although weaker in appearance, is still as hopeful as ever, especially now that Bakugo is here to save the day.

Bakugo Rescues All Might

As seen in the previous chapter, Bakugo rescued All Might in quite a brilliant manner. He was able to completely blitz the demon lord and before he could even realize what was happening, All Might had been taken from his hands and both of his forearms were chopped off. Bakugo didn't even realize that the person he was fighting was All For One. His eyes were completely on All Might and his goal was to rescue him. He successfully managed to do that and, now, it is his job to finish off All For One.

Is My Hero Academia's Final War Arc Failing?

Will My Hero Academia receive a final arc that will leave the fans satisfied?

Before that, however, this chapter gave fans quite a good look at how he managed to survive. Edgeshot used his Foldabody Quirk to go inside his body and fix his broken bones as well as organs. He successfully managed to do so and held everything together, at the cost of his own life. As he mentions in the chapter, when he does something like this, the energy taken out of him is massive and only one person can survive this. Essentially, he would have to sacrifice himself for Bakugo, however, something miraculous happened right at that exact moment. The Quirk that Bakugo was strengthening over the years ended up rescuing him. It appears that a bead of sweat inside his body which he uses to cause his explosions, caused some sudden change, which resuscitated him and allowed Edgeshot to survive as well.

The excess blood inside his body was expelled from his mouth by Edgeshot and he left his body as well, sewing up all his wounds. Bakugo is now in moving condition, however, Edgeshot warns him that no matter what he does, it is going to hurt quite a lot. That is a price that he is willing to pay and fans know how courageous this character is.

At the same time, My Hero Academia chapter 405 also sees Bakugo share a beautiful moment with All Might. All his life has not been given the same attention by All Might that he gave to Deku. This, on some level, always hurt Bakugo. He wanted to be the one that All Might focused on and spent his hours on. However, that was always his arch-nemesis, Deku. Now, for the first time, All Might entrusts everything to him and puts his faith in him as well. This is a big moment not just for Bakugo but it also serves as a reminder to All Might that the next generation isn't just being led by Deku but all the other powerful students as well.

Bakugo's arms, which are damaged at this point in the story, were then supported by the hero equipment of All Might. This equipment coated his arm and All Might mentioned that this would serve as a splinter, and it might not be of much use otherwise.

Bakugo Lands A Powerful Blow

My Hero Academia chapter 405 also focused quite a bit on All For One. He appears to be losing his cool with each passing second. When the Final War Saga started, he was filled with confidence to the brim. However, the Heroes have slowly whittled him down to a point where his blood is boiling and he simply can't understand why everything is going against him. He has no true allies and no true friends. Nobody wants to die for him and, at the same time, even those he raised, such as Shigaraki, don't appreciate him because of his selfish desires and wants.

This chapter beautifully elaborates on that and paints quite a picture for All For One, showing him that he is truly alone and that his demise is finally coming. Whereas All Might entrusted his faith and hopes to the next generation, All For One simply had to die in this age and this contrast was handled beautifully by Horikoshi in the chapter.

Bakugo, equipped with the hero weapon of All Might then jumped into action and landed an incredibly powerful blow on All For One, directly shooting at his face. This blow was so powerful that it completely engulfed All For One. Bakugo then went on to claim that he was the final boss for All For One and that his time to die is finally here. When Deku can't do everything by himself, that is where he has to step in and take the role of the leading Hero. Things will only get more exciting in My Hero Academia from here onwards and fans are immensely excited about that.
