These fights are the peak of My Hero Academia's Final War Saga.

But the most iconic attacks in all of My Hero Academia are always the finishing moves: when a hero or villain finishes off an intense battle by shouting the name of their final attack. They are always responsible for the most impactful moments in the entire series, and these are some of the best ones this heroic story has to offer.

9 Red Riot Unbreakable: Red Gauntlet

Eijiro Kirishima

Eijiro Kirishima's Red Gauntlet move.

Eijiro Kirishima’sHardening is one of those quirks that may seem ineffective at first, but it can be quite a powerful tool. And when he had to stop the Blade Villain in Esuha Market, he managed to show off how truly useful his quirk could be.

This is when Kirishima finally showed off his Unbreakable technique, which exceeds the limits of his quirk and applies hardening through his entire body. This defense was especially necessary, considering that he was fighting a villain that had been boosted by the Trigger drug. He then finished the fight off with a powerful Red Gauntlet, a fist that is stronger than stone.

8 Faux 100 Percent: Manchester Smash

Izuku Midoriya

Izuku Midoriya's Faux 100 Percent Manchester Smash against Lady Nagant.

At a later point in the series, Izuku Midoriya found out that he could wield the quirks of the previous One For All users, which completely changed the way he fought. And his fight against Lady Nagant was the perfect situation to test out his new abilities in sync.

By combining the quirks of Blackwhip and Fa Jin with One For All, Deku managed to boost his power to the point that he could replicate the blinding speeds of One For All at 100% power. With this quick thinking, he managed to land a devastating kick against Lady Nagant that caught her off guard and destroyed her arm cannon.

7 Flashfreeze Heatwave

Shoto Todoroki

Shoto Todoroki's Flashfreeze Heatwave against Izuku.

Back in the early arcs of My Hero Academia, Shoto Todoroki didn’t want to use the fire element of his Half-Cold Half-Hot quirk because of the trauma infused on him by his father. It wouldn’t be until his climactic encounter against Izuku during the Sports Festival that he would finally change his mind.

My Hero Academia's Heroes have some pretty unique and interesting quirks. These are the strongest of them all.

Flashfreeze Heatwave is the perfect combination of ice and fire in one spectacular move, which looks even better in motion thanks to Studio Bones’ mind-blowing animation. With this attack, Todoroki not only managed to defeat Deku at the festival, but it was the moment he accepted his fire quirk, something that would change his career as a hero forever.

6 Go Beyond PLUS ULTRA

Toshinori Yagi

All Might's final punch against the USJ Nomu.

When the League of Villains attacked the Unforeseen Simulation Joint with the help of a powerful Nomu, it seemed like the U.A. students were in big trouble. Luckily, All Might finally arrived and faced it in a climactic battle, which was quite tricky considering the Nomu had been specifically designed to absorb his attacks.

But this didn’t stop All Might, who kept damaging the creature to exceed its defenses. He eventually went beyond his 100% power and landed an incredible final punch that sent the Nomu flying through the air. Getting to see All Might fight at his full power proved to the audience why he deserved the title of #1 Pro Hero.

5 Decay Awakening

Tomura Shigaraki

Tomura Shigaraki awakens his Decay quirk against Re-Destro.

The arc known as "My Villain Academia" was innovative because it was told from the perspective of the series’ main antagonist, Tomura Shigaraki. He had a challenging time fighting Re-Destro, who not only appeared to have the upper hand in battle but also made him question his entire beliefs and motivations.

But everything changed when Shigaraki remembered his past and finally managed to awaken his Decay quirk. In one of the most disturbing scenes in all of My Hero Academia, he spreads his decay all over the floor and slowly disintegrates everything in his path, including Re-Destro’s armor, all while laughing maniacally, as Shigaraki finally unlocks his true potential.

4 Howitzer Impact

Katsuki Bakugo

Bakugo's final Howitzer Impact against All For One.

For years, fans complained that Katsuki Bakugo never starred in his fight against a villain. And this wouldn’t change until the recent Final War Arc when he had to face one of the biggest antagonists in the series, All For One. And it did not disappoint.

Several families have made a name for themselves among hero world, and these are some of the strongest ones out there.

All For One spent the entire fight boasting about all the quirks he stole and tried using all of them at the same time in a desperate final move. But Bakugo fought back by claiming he only needed one quirk to win. He shielded his explosive sweat from the rainfall and empowered his classic Howitzer Impact to create a huge explosion that would finally take down the Symbol of Evil.

3 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash

Izuku Midoriya

Deku using 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash against Muscular.

During his climactic encounter against Muscular, it seemed like Deku had finally met his match, as he had tried everything in his arsenal, but it seemed like he just couldn’t break through the villain’s enhanced defenses. But when Kota’s life was in danger, Deku gained enough power to deal a finishing blow.

The 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash is one of his most powerful attacks, as it could deal enough damage to break all of Muscular’s muscle fibers. While he also damages his own body in the process, this is an epic yet emotional scene that shows the limits that Deku would go to protect the innocent.

2 PLUS ULTRA Prominence Burn

Enji Todoroki

Endeavor using Prominence Burn to incinerate a a High-end Nomu in My Hero Academia

When All Might was finally forced to retire, it seemed like Endeavor’s dream came true in a pessimistic way, as he was now the #1 Pro Hero. But when a powerful Nomu named Hood was released, Enji Todoroki had to show that he was truly deserving of that title, especially to the family that he had abused for years.

Endeavor himself says that he always hated the school’s motto, yet he shouts “PLUS ULTRA!” as he unleashes his Prominence Burn move against the Nomu: an explosive attack that uses all of his firepower, and it looks breathtaking to boot. With this, Endeavor managed to incinerate the creature and began his redemption, which would slowly change the audience’s opinion of him.

1 United States Of Smash

Toshinori Yagi

All Might's United States Of Smash.

Throughout his career as a Pro Hero, All Might was famous for using several moves that were named after different states, like Detroit Smash or California Smash. So, when the time to deal the final blow to All For One finally arrived, Toshinori Yagi was forced to use all of his power in one devastating finishing move.

Fittingly named the United States of Smash, this move concentrates all of One For All’s remaining power into his fists, letting him use an extremely powerful punch that could defeat his long-time enemy. But this finishing move was not only impactful because of the impressiveness of the punch itself but also because this was the final time All Might would use the One For All quirk before it faded away. As he said farewell to his power, he would pass the torch to Izuku Midoriya.
