This fight is one that always hypes the fans up, given that it is quite easily the very best of clashes that My Hero Academia has produced, and now, thanks to the Final War saga, fans got to see it play out once again.

All Might's Defeat To All For One

All Might's fight against All For One was quite exciting for the fans. For the first time, All Might was not portrayed as the invincible being who was going up against the most heinous villain. For the first time, All Might was nothing more than an average human, and that only meant that his roles with Deku had now reversed. At the beginning of their journeys in the series, All Might was the Symbol of Peace while Deku was a Quirkless boy. Now, the roles are completely reversed. Deku is on the path to becoming the Number One Hero and the Symbol of Peace while All Might is a Quirkless man who is trying his best to still be a Hero.

This fight was extremely exciting for the fans, given that All Might brought out a very interesting weapon, crafted by Melissa – a full body armor. This armor provided him with quite a lot of interesting abilities and these powers were strong enough for him to take on his arch nemesis, All For One. Much to the surprise of the fans, All Might actually put in quite a shift and surprised both the spectators as well as All For One himself. Even his friends, who did not believe in him, were surprised to know that All Might was going all out against All For One and actually making a difference. He launched several powerful attacks on the Demon Lord and actually forced him to revert his body to the state of a teenager. However, at the end of the day, what he showcased proved to not be enough to take down the strongest villain of all time. He fell just short when Stain arrived to help him out and, during this moment, All For One finally took control of the battle and blasted both of them to bits.

All For One's Plan Vs. Tomura

What a Face – Shigaraki Tomura My Hero Academia

Immediately after All For One defeated All Might, he decided to pursue the person whom he wanted to get his hands on and that was none other than Shigaraki. Fans know that Shigaraki is the final piece for him to complete the puzzle and that is precisely what he tried in My Hero Academia chapter 402. His initial plan was to warp Shigaraki to him and if he managed to do that, then it would only be a matter of seconds before he would be able to fulfill his plan and, in the process, achieve everything that he ever wanted. However, much to the surprise of All For One, Shigaraki halted his ability to warp him. He has broken free of his control point a while ago and it appears that he cannot be tamed by All For One any longer.

That only means that he will have to forcibly get the job done, and this small delay in plans is what might end up saving the entire world. In the meanwhile, fans also know that All Might is still kicking about. Even after being nearly destroyed by the Demon Lord, he refused to give up and told his body to continue and not give out just yet. All Might wants to continue fighting and that is certainly commendable and worthy of respect. No other Hero would have the willpower to pull this off and only the greatest of all time can actually do it. However, this is exactly where death clouds start looming over his head. All Might is already in a battered state and if he continues any longer, it should be beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is going to die.

All For One's Backup Plan

As Shigaraki rejected his warp, All For One decided to rely on his backup plan. He made it back to All Might and lifted him by the leg, warping him to the battlefield where Deku and Shigaraki were fighting. This was a rather brave move from him and it is possible that he was doing this to distract Deku and then allow Shigaraki to finish him off. This would then allow him to assert control over his vessel and, possibly even get his hands on the One For All. All Might was dangling for life in the hands of All For One, however, that is exactly when fans got a flashback of All For One fighting against Nana. For the first time, her death was probably shown to the fans and before her life left her body, she exclaimed that the one to defeat All For One would be none other than All Might, simply because he is even crazier than him.

That is when the fire within All Might started to go out and with the last ditch effort, he grabbed All For One with both his hands and there was a massive explosion. It is likely that this was All Might's copy of the Quirk ability of Bakugo. All Might stated that if he killed him one more time he would then turn into a toddler, which would essentially ruin the plans of All For One forever. The chapter did not showcase the aftermath of this explosion, however, it is very likely that that is exactly what's going to happen.

All Might's Upcoming Death In My Hero Academia

all might crushed my hero academia 402

It is very clear for the fans to see that All Might is at death's door. He has gone all out and he has received some gruesome injuries. His body is beyond repair at this point, yet he continues to fight. Even though he has little life left in him right now, fans do not know how long he can keep that up for. If the explosion that he launched in My Hero Academia chapter 402 injures him as well, then the chances of him dying will increase even further. All Might is destined to take down All For One with him and, in doing so, break free from his destiny of meeting a gruesome end at the hands of the demon lord. There is absolutely no way that his incredible willpower and fighting spirit will go to waste. All Might is going to win this battle, as was mentioned by Nana once. In doing so, he might die himself, as that appears to be the case right now.

Fans should brace themselves for the end of All Might, which is now fast approaching. This heroic character, who was also an incredible part of My Hero Academia for so many years, is now at the end of the road. By getting rid of All For One, he will do the Hero Society a massive favor and shine at the Symbol of Peace, one last time before he dies. From there onwards, it will all fall on the shoulders of Deku to save the world.

My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia chapter 402, is set to be October 1, 2023.
