My Hero Academia is finally off the break, meaning the next week's chapter isn't too far away. The previous chapter of the story was one packed with an emotional punch as it brought back beloved characters of the old that fans have familiarized themselves with over the course of years. Now that the story is in the final arc, it only makes sense for fans to get nostalgic over the appearances of these characters.

RELATED: My Hero Academia: The Parallels Between Shigaraki And DabiThe previous chapter was certainly filled with that to the brim and the next chapter, and My Hero Academia 379 will certainly be looking to carry that on and i mprove on it further. With lots of plot threads still left unfinished, the next chapter of the story will be looking to tie them up in a fitting manner that satisfies both the author and the fans alike. My Hero Academia 379 is going to be pivotal in that regard.

My Hero Academia 379: Gentle Shows Off His Powers

Gentle made his appearance in the previous chapter of My Hero Academia, much to the surprise of the fans. While La Brava appearing certainly meant that he would make his appearance sooner or later, seeing him appear so soon was a surprise for a lot of the fans. After the island started crashing, Gentle used his powers to an entirely new degree which fans had never seen before and created a massive trampoline out of the air, allowing the island to descend slowly and, in the process, saving countless lives.

Gentle is now a Hero, just like everyone else fighting in the current war. However, the previous chapter didn't entirely show him stopping the island and bringing it to rest. My Hero Academia 379 will most certainly focus on that aspect of this plot thread and show off Gentle bringing the island to a complete rest. At the same time, he could then proceed to join the war and use his powers to aid the Heroes and stop the Villains of the Paranormal Liberation Front once and for all. It goes without saying that the addition of Gentle is certainly great for the heroes and, thanks to his powers, he is only going to become more important from here onwards.

It is even possible that he ends up aiding Izuku in the war, however, given his level of strength, he is not at a level where he can influence the fight against All For One or Shigaraki Tomura in any way or form. That said, his contribution to the war is already massive and in the next chapter, it can only grow further. His connection to La Brava can only make him even stronger, as seen previously in the Cultural Festival arc of the story. If a predicament does arise, the duo could well combine their powers and make Gentle stronger than ever before to fight off evil once again.

My Hero Academia 379: Lady Nagant Back In Action

Lady Nagant is a beloved character among the fans and very few expected her to show up towards the end of the last chapter. The last fans saw of her was when she attempted to capture Deku and deliver him to All For One. At that point, her heart was entirely disillusioned with the Hero Society and she believed that it was doomed to fail no matter what. Yet, Deku showed her a bright future to believe in when he saved Chisaki from her bullets. Before the self-destruct Quirk took its effect, lady Nagant recognized Deku as a true Hero and now, she believes in him with all her heart. After her apprehension, no mention of her was made until the previous chapter.

Lady Nagant is now finally in battle, and her burns seem to have healed to a significant degree. She was seen making use of her Snipe Quirk in an incredible fashion and was able to tear off one of Shigaraki's hands with no trouble whatsoever. She is here to back up Deku and see him ascend to the throne of the greatest Hero. To do that, he will have to talk to Shigaraki and figure out a way for the heroes to win this war. And, more importantly, for those who never receive the helping hand to finally receive absolution as well.

My Hero Academia 379 will most certainly focus on Lady Nagant quite a bit and her belief in Deku will most likely be focused on as well. There's also means that the fight between Deku and Shigaraki will continue in the upcoming chapter of the story. As fans know, Deku wants to hold an honest conversation with the latter and, so far, he has not been given the opportunity to do so. Now that Nagant has interfered in the fight, Deku's opportunity could well be here and what he does with it remains to be seen.

My Hero Academia is not on any break during the upcoming week. As such, fans can expect the chapter to follow the regular schedule and be released on Sunday, January 29, 2023. As always, the chapter can be read for free on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump App.
