Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has captured fans with an epic tale of redemption, growth, and fantastical adventures. One of the pivotal events that set the stage for the epic journey is the Teleport Event, also known as the Metastasis Event. The event is a tragedy that befell the Fittoa Region, Asura Kingdom, in the year K417, which caused most of its inhabitants to be teleported randomly to different parts of the world.
Numerous casualties accompanied that event, and it was a significant canon event in Rudeus’ life because he had to traverse the Demon Continent while looking out for his cousin, Eris, and find his way back to his family.
5 It First Manifested As A Red Orb In The Year K412
The Red Orb manifested above the Boreas Estate in the year K412 when Rudeus was five years old. This was around the time he became close with Roxy Migurdia and Sylphiette. According to Nanahoshi, the Hitogami is responsible for the appearance of the Red Orb and most occurrences in Rudeus’ life.
In the year K417, immense amounts of mana gathered around the Red Orb and took the form of a storm with eight eyes. The gathering mana caught the attention of Orsted and Kishirika Kishirisu, and they sought out the source. Perugius Dola, concerned someone might be trying to unseal Laplace, instructed Almanfi to locate and eliminate the perceived threat. At this moment, Rudeus was attempting to test the new staff he received as a birthday present in the company of Ghislaine and Eris. Almanfi briefly fights Ghislaine before she convinces him that they are not up to anything sinister.
4 It Is A Way Of Balancing The Power Of The Six Worlds
According to the Dragon Tribe researchers, power exists in every living being, which ensures a natural balance across the Six Worlds. Known as Battle Aura to the Dragon Tribe and referred to as magic power or mana by the Demon Race, this balance becomes disrupted when a sudden reduction in power occurs within one of the Six Worlds. Imbalances were created when the power in the Six Worlds suddenly reduced. In such cases, the deficient world draws power from another to restore equilibrium, leading to what is known as the Teleport Incident.
The investigation into the Teleport Incident is carried out by old members of the Dragon Race who reside in isolation due to the ban placed on Teleportation Magic by the First Dragon God. The First Dragon God intended to share the findings to prevent a recurrence, but he could not do so due to the war that decimated five worlds, leaving only the Human World intact.
3 The Destination For Teleportation Is Not Entirely Random For Everyone
Though the nature of the teleportations appeared random, people who maintained physical contact during the Teleport Incident were transported together to the same location. Rudeus and Eris, for example, were teleported to the Demon Continent and embarked on a journey across it with the assistance of Ruijerd Superdia. Paul and Norn Greyrat ended up in the southern part of the Asura Kingdom, where Paul teamed up with Alphonse, the Butler of the Boreas Greyrat Estate, to search for his family and the other missing citizens of Fittoa.
Lilia Greyrat and Aisha Greyrat were left at the mercy of Pax Shirone as he imprisoned them when they arrived at the Shirone Kingdom until Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd Zanoba Shirone rescued them. Sylphiette gets teleported to the Asura Kingdom, where she takes on the role of Princess Ariel’s bodyguard. Zenith Greyrat was transported to the Teleport Labyrinth and was later rescued by Rudeus, Roxy, and the Fangs of the Black Wolf members later rescued her.
2 The Number Of Casualties And The Aftermath
The Teleport Incident profoundly impacted the Fittoa region, resulting in many casualties that were nearly impossible to quantify. In response, the Refugee camp created a list of the missing and the deceased. This list aided the adventurers searching for the lost and allowed people to ascertain the fate that befell their loved ones.
Furthermore, this incident altered the course of events that led to Ariel’s ascension to the throne of the Asura Kingdom. It deviated from the original history known by Orsted, casting some uncertainty into his precognition. Derrick Redbat, who was meant to convince Perugius to back Ariel, tragically perishes while protecting her. Sauros and Philip, who were meant to join Ariel’s faction, suffer untimely deaths, further disrupting the anticipated path of events.
1 It Is A Result Of An Event That Takes Place In The Future
In a war-torn nation eighty years into the future, a powerful individual known as Playback Miko used her abilities to summon a boy from another world. The Miko formed a deep bond with this boy and developed romantic feelings for him. According to the prophecy, the boy was destined to be their hero and savior. To their dismay, the boy, who was just an ordinary boy, tragically died when he was deployed to the front lines. The Miko utilized her immense power to tear through space and time to alter reality and prevent the boy's death. To undo his death, she sought to summon his girlfriend from his original world into the Fittoa Region eighty years ago.
Despite her efforts, Miko’s attempt proved unsuccessful, and it created a rift that transported the soul of a newly deceased person to this world, reincarnating them in the process. As the person did not belong to this world, their presence caused the void to grow and become visible, taking the form of a Red Orb as it grew. When the powers that be could no longer restrict the Miko’s original spell, the rift summoned the boy’s former girlfriend into the world, causing the Teleport Incident as a result.
