With social media now becoming a dominant part in most people's lives, in one form or another, video games now have the opportunity of becoming bigger than their developers had ever hoped, with indie titles skyrocketing to the front pages of online stores, or big AAA games somehow reaching an even wider audience than before. The Warner Bros. free-to-play fighting gameMultiVersus is the latest video game to be propelled by social media, with just one scroll on Tik Tok likely showing some kind of MultiVersus-related content.

However, with a greater audience also comes greater expectations, and some fans are already desperate for MultiVersus' roster to increase. With the wealth of Warner Bros. licenses on its side, MultiVersus already has a roster of 17 playable characters, stretching across all corners of pop-culture, from Game of Thrones, to Looney Tunes, to DC. Though this is a great starting place, Warner Bros. has plenty of licenses left to draw from in the future.

Harry Potter

One of the biggest Warner Bros. franchises left out of MultiVersus' initial line-up is Harry Potter, and the rest of the Wizarding World. While the Harry Potter series' creator has some awful takes, the franchise is still a major part of modern popular culture, and at least one Wizarding World inclusion on the roster would be a sure-fire hit with players. While this spot could go to just about any of the iconic cast, the main man himself, Harry Potter, should be the first Wizarding World inclusion in MultiVersus. Ranged and magical-based characters are nothing new to MultiVersus, with Bugs Bunny filling that role currently, so Harry could definitely fit in with the current roster.

Scorpion

Mortal Kombat Scorpion Revenge

A character already suited for the fighting game genre, Scorpion from Mortal Kombat is an almost guaranteed inclusion for MultiVersus' future roster. Though his visual design may need to be reworked a little to fit MultiVersus' more cartoony style, all of Scorpion's usual moves can be translated fairly easily to the game's particular take on the fighting game genre. Similarly to the Wizarding World characters, just about any Mortal Kombat fighter would fit the bill nicely, but with Scorpion still acting as the face of the franchise, he seems like a natural pick.

Godzilla

Despite a rocky reception to his last few movies, Godzilla is still one of the most iconic figures in cinema history, known across the globe. As the MonsterVerse continues to pick up speed, it would make sense to throw the beloved lizard into the MultiVersus line-up. It might take a little bit of creative license to bring him to the game, with his size being an obvious limiting factor, but if the Iron Giant can make it in, then so can Godzilla.

Sauron

It's been almost two decades since the last Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings movie came out, but the franchise is still immensely popular, and with Amazon's Rings of Power show right around the corner, hype around the series is only going to rise. While Frodo, Aragorn, Legolas, and the rest of the Fellowship would certainly make for great MultiVersus fighters, it's the series' antagonist, Sauron, that might be the most fun to play as, with overpowered mace attacks and the ability to push back foes with ease.

Mad Max

Not one of Warner Bros. most well-known properties, Mad Max from the titular series would be a great curveball to throw into MultiVersus. In particular, the version of Mad Max from the 2015 video game would be the ideal choice for the roster, with a shotgun to use for ranged attacks, and some knuckle dusters for close-quarters combat.

MultiVersus is available in Open Beta now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
