Not only is Toasting in MultiVersus hilarious due to how silly the concept is, but it also has its uses as it grants the person Toasted a little extra Gold. This extra Gold really adds up too, especially as it takes more than 20,000 Gold to unlock all seventeen characters currently on the MultiVersus roster.

With this in mind, it seems safe to say that Toasting in MultiVersus is highly incentivized. What a lot of players may be wondering, though, is how exactly one player is supposed to Toast another. Luckily for them, this guide will explain just that.

How To Toast Other Players in MultiVersus

Multiversus - Highlighting The Give Toast Option In The Results Screen

First off, Toasting can only be done in the results screen of a match. Some players have reported not being able to Toast until someone declines the rematch or until the final game of the set, but those cases are few and far between. Once players have arrived at the final results screen and given the results a second to load, a "Toast" option should appear above every other player's Ring Outs results box. At this point, players can simply hover the cursor over this button and press it, and the Toasting is done!

Once a player has been Toasted, they should get a notification box on the top right of their screen that gives them the option to Toast Back. Usually, this option is here just in case the player Toasted went to the next screen too quickly and wants to Toast Back. As a result of this metaphorical Thumbs Up, each player Toasted gets an extra 20 Gold from the match, so there's an actual monetary incentive for it as well.

Where To Get More Toast

Multiversus - Buying More Toast With Gold In-Game

Now, one thing players aren't usually aware of until they run out is that Toast is a limited resource in MultiVersus. The standard way to get more Toast is to simply buy them with in-game Gold, which is an option always available on the top right during the results screen (just click the Toast logo) or at the top right of the Collection menu.

That said, it doesn't come cheap. Buying 10 Toast takes a hefty 350 Gold, which is equal to Training three discounted Perks, so it's not really recommended unless a player already has all the characters unlocked and trained the best MultiVersus Perks for their particular playstyle.

Additionally, there are plenty of ways to unlock more Toast without spending Gold, as five Toast is given out for getting each Character to Level 3 for the first time and 25 Toast is spread throughout the Free and Premium rewards in the pre-season Battle Pass.

MultiVersus is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
