Although the taunt may not be the most ideal move in MultiVersus, there can be an appropriate time to bust one out. At the beginning and end of matches, when there is minimal chance of getting hit, it's pretty safe to pull one off. But it can be also done in the middle of the match.

Doing this will likely set up the character for a free hit, but it also really makes opponents upset. Upset players in MultiVersus don't play at their best. For those who want to get into the head game part of this fighter, here's how to bust out a taunt.

How To Taunt On Controller And PC

  • Controller: Any direction on the D-Pad
  • PC: t, 1, 2, 3, or 4

At the start of the game, players will only have one taunt for each character (see the next section for how to acquire more). The default controls can be changed in the settings menu, so those who would like to make it more or less convenient can do so fairly easily.

Again, it must be reiterated that doing a taunt, any taunt, will often result in getting blasted, especially for larger characters that are easy to hit. Until the hitbox system is overhauled, just keep in mind that it may be funny, but it's always wise, to taunt.

Getting More Taunts

The process of acquiring Gleamium is one that gamers will be very familiar with after just an hour or two. What to spend that Gleamium on? Well, those who enjoy taunting other players can spend their precious currency on more taunts.

Check out the shop and unlock a few, then assign them to the D-Pad (controller) or 1, 2, 3, and 4 buttons (PC). Players can have four different taunts equipped at once, and this goes for each character. Having a short taunt and a long taunt can be a smart idea for players who will have varying time windows to play around with.

MultiVersus is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
