The alien from the slaughtered planet of Krypton is no stranger in the entertainment industry. Superman's popularity is widespread and beyond imagination, be it in comics, movies, cartoons, or games (barring that disgraceful excuse for a video game). Being in the primary set of characters in the MultiVersus, Superman is categorized under the "Tank" character set, a classification for brute strength and heavy damage. Although the game does not allow him to remain airborne (to even out the playing field), the game does throw in some heavy air attacks to give him a just representation.

Most of his moves have armor capabilities that underline his tank character. The attack moves are highly impactful when pitted against those of the same levels, but there is a flip side. The game features a weaker spot to his gameplay. With every armor attack inflicting substantial damage, the player would need to spend some time charging up these attacks to get the best results. But from hindsight, such a hurdle does make the game evenly balanced.

Basic Attacks

Neutral Ground Attack: Kryptonian Combo

As the name suggests, the move combines multiple punches that pack heavy artillery.

Neutral Air Attack: Bullet Barrage

The air attack has Superman give a 1-2-3 rapid punch to the opposition caught at mid-air.

Side Ground Attack: Super Punch

A supercharged one punch inflicts a significant level of damage to the opposition. However, such great power takes a portion of Superman's armor meter.

Side Air Attack: Bullet Swing

A supercharged one-hit swing can inflict low to moderate damage depending on the charge used.

Up Ground Attack: Overhead Strike

A charged overhead armored attack deals with medium to heavy damage depending on the opposition. Takes up a portion of Superman's armor meter.

Up Air Attack: Up & Away

A supercharged upward punch that causes significant damage depending on the charge. A perfect homage to the "First Flight" from Man of Steel.

Down Ground Attack: Downward Swing

A supercharged ground-down attack that has an armor arcing downward swing. Takes up a portion of Superman's armor meter

Down Air Attack: Falling Haymaker

A supercharged lite attack packs a downward swinging punch pinning the opposition to the ground.

Special Attacks

Tom and Jerry, Steven Universe, Superman, and Shaggy from Scooby-Doo! battle in MultiVersus.

Neutral Special: Ice Breath

Ice breath slows down the opponents, eventually freezing and stunning them, making them vulnerable to attacks from Superman or other players in the arena. While using the special, Allies and any of the projectiles are beefed up with ice gauntlets. At the same time, the characters from the enemy faction receive an ice debuff to their projectiles. The Special can be used on the ground and in the air with the same effect.

Side Ground Special: Locomotive Charge

The supercharged aim attack would need the player to charge and aim a crosshair in the direction of need. Once charged and released, Superman will dash towards the target point with a powerful armored punch dealing a hefty blow to any or all opponents in that direction.

Side Air Special: Ten-Ton Tackle

A special mid-air attack where Superman would fly in the direction he is facing, grab hold of any enemy in his flight path, take them for a trip upwards, break their armor and finish it all with 'heavy-damage' inflicting forward punch. The damage depends on the level of charge filled, which furthers the flight.

Up Ground Special: Meteor Liftoff

Superman would break into flight with a sonic boom, lifting enemies off the ground while returning to punch them down to the ground with heavy damage.

Up Air Special: Go Long!

Superman takes flight while grabbing an enemy and breaking their armor. Players can then throw the enemy in any direction as they please.

Down Ground & Down Air Special: Heat Vision

The most iconic super move of the Last Son of Krypton. The Heat Vision stays true to its pop culture originality and has received a just treatment in the game. Superman is provided armor to start off while his laser beam travels in the direction (he is facing) until they come into contact with the ground. Opponents are knocked upwards into the air and deal with a dire debuff. The special remains the same for Down Air, the only difference being that he does not receive an armor to start off with.

Perk List:

Multiversus -Youre With Me Trailer Superman And Iron Giant Flying Together

Triple Jump at Level 2

Kryptonian Skin at Level 4

Wild Cat Brawler at Level 7

Signature: Flaming Re-Entry at Level 8

Signature Perk: Sniper Punch at Level 10

Last Stand at Level 11

Break The Ice at Level 12

Clear the Air at Level 13

Although players can approach to play the character in their own ways, the best perk combo that has proven to work is the Sniper Punch (Signature) - Triple Jump (Slot 1) - WildCat Brawler (Slot 2) - Last Stand (Slot 3).
