Player First Games' live service fighting game MultiVersus has just released a Gizmo gameplay trailer. Gizmo has been teased as a MultiVersus character for Season 1 since before the open beta and players can now get an idea of how the new Support character will play before dropping into fights as him.

Gizmo has been added to MultiVersus for Gremlins fans to unlock, and the gameplay trailer that accompanies the character highlights some of the reasons that gamers will want to unlock the small furball. Because MultiVersus is a live service title, it's regularly made better with content updates, and Gizmo is the latest addition after a brief delay. Gizmo will cost MultiVersus players 2000 Gold to unlock.

The MultiVersus Gizmo gameplay trailer begins with the Support character rolling into Scooby's Haunted Mansion in the sporty pink Barbie car from Gremlins before hopping out to get ready for battle. The trailer then shows Gizmo beating up popular MultiVersus characters like Bugs Bunny, Finn the Human, Garnet, Superman, Velma, Taz, and more across multiple maps. Some of the iconic abilities that Gremlins fans may notice in the gameplay trailer are an attack in which Gizmo rides his little pink car into an opponent, another has the little Mogwai using a tiny bow to fire a powerful projectile, and one uses an umbrella to plunge into other characters before Gizmo floats back down to the platform.

Gizmo may have a technique similar to Jigglypuff's Super Smash Bros. singing in MultiVersus. Unlike the defensive ability in Super Smash Bros., singing may be used as an offensive ability in MultiVersus. Gizmo sings as beautifully as he does in the Gremlins film, and the songs seemingly produce a cloud that can be blasted towards opponents, which is shown off in the gameplay trailer when the character defeats an enemy Garnet by firing it at them like a projectile.

Although Gizmo has been added to MultiVersus Season 1 already, Gremlins fans are still anticipating the arrival of his nemesis Stripe, the mogwai that went bad and ushered in the downfall of multiple people in the classic 1984 film. One MultiVersus player commenting on the trailer said that they never expected to experience a fighting game with Gizmo in it until the gameplay reveal, while others celebrated the Gremlins character's move set.

MultiVersus is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
