While platform fighting games must have strong core elements with tight gameplay and engaging maps, a lot of what makes a title like Super Smash Bros. or MultiVersus popular with gamers is the ability to play as a wide variety of characters. Even with only 17 characters available at the time of writing, MultiVersus' roster already proves to be wacky, with characters like Jake the Dog and Steven Universe able to fight against the Iron Giant, Superman, and plenty of other unexpected opponents. With so many characters from the multitude of Warner Bros IPs to choose from, fans are often wondering which fighter will be the latest to join MultiVersus' roster. Already, players know who the next four additions to the game will be, as Rick and Morty were confirmed to be coming to MultiVersus back during the game's closed beta and more recently Black Adam and Stripe were shown off on the platform fighter's login screen, celebrating the launch of Season 1 and a new battle pass.RELATED: MultiVersus Reveals Season 1 Battle Pass RewardsNow, fans may have discovered two more new characters planned for MultiVersus through data added to the game as part of its first major patch. The dataminers believe that the Wicked Witch of the West and Beetlejuice are coming to MultiVersus after finding voice lines for the latter and some announcer lines for the former. The Wicked Witch of the West was previously found in a list of potential leaked MultiVersus characters, but Beetlejuice's inclusion comes as somewhat of a surprise.

While the Wicked Witch being an announcer doesn't necessarily mean she will be playable in-game, some of Beetlejuice's voice lines appear to be speaking directly to the witch, implying he is fighting alongside her. Both characters certainly have abilities that could make them interesting fighters in MultiVersus, adding to the game's expansive and varied roster. Alongside hiding new data in the game for fans to discover, the latest MultiVersus patch has made some big changes, including nerfing some of the pre-season's strongest characters.

Now the meta will likely shift as Season 1 begins, giving MultiVersus players new free characters on rotation and a proper battle pass to work through. With Black Adam and Stripe from the Gremlins franchise expected towards the end of the season, many are wondering where Beetlejuice and the Wicked Witch could come in. To many, it seems that Halloween could mark the perfect occasion to bring in these slightly spooky additions to the platform fighter.

MultiVersus is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
