Black Adam and Arcade Mode are set to finally join MultiVersus later this week. Fans of the DC anti-hero have been recently treated to a new movie centered around Black Adam, with Dwayne Johnson taking on the role. MultiVersus players already expected Black Adam to join the roster around the release of the film after he was confirmed to be coming to the game some time in its first season. However, following his reveal, Black Adam swiftly disappeared from MultiVersus' marketing and promotions as it seemed the game was focusing on other characters.Since Black Adam was first revealed for MultiVersus, three other new characters have made their way to the roster, filling out the collection of fighters from Warner Bros. IPs. First, there was the surprising addition of Gizmo to MultiVersus, which was followed by Rick finally making his way to the roster after Morty was made playable in the previous month. Most recently, Stripe, the character who appeared alongside Black Adam on the loading screen for season one, also joined the fight.RELATED: MultiVersus Player Has Hilarious Idea For an Alternate Black Adam SkinNow, MultiVersus has finally revealed when the character it announced a while ago will be playable. In a new post on the game's Twitter account, it is confirmed that Black Adam will be joining the roster later this week. Not only will there be a new character coming to MultiVersus soon, but the tweet also confirms the addition of an Arcade Mode, which will give players significantly more single-player content. Both the Arcade Mode and Black Adam will drop in the same update, but Player First Games hasn't stated exactly when that will be.

Usually, MultiVersus adds new characters on either a Tuesday or a Thursday. This likely points to the next big MultiVersus update dropping on Thursday, October 27. However, this doesn't mean that the date has been set in stone by Player First Games, as in the past it has delayed MultiVersus characters from joining the roster to give them a bit more polish. Gizmo was delayed, for example, though this was only by a couple of days, showing that even if Black Adam doesn't quite make it to MultiVersus as soon as possible, he will be on the way shortly.

With the characters confirmed to be joining as part of MultiVersus' first season out of the way, now fans can begin to speculate about which new fighters will be joining the game next. Already, thanks to some leaked game files, players believe that new MultiVersus fighters could be coming around the time of Halloween.

MultiVersus is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
