In a little over a week, Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan officially joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the upcoming series Ms. Marvel. In the past few weeks, the studio has constantly been releasing new trailers, clips, and posters to promote the much-awaited Disney Plus series. The latest teaser trailer, titled “Courage,” showcases some epic action sequences that put Vellani's titular character front and center.

The new Ms. Marvel trailer features the latest hero wielding her superhuman abilities. Khan, a Pakistani American teenager living in New Jersey, first appeared in the Marvel Comics in August 2013, and the upcoming Disney Plus series marks her first live-action appearance. While the studio might have taken some creative liberty by altering her powers, fans eagerly wait to see Kamala Khan in action as she takes down enemies and saves the city that she calls home.

As part of the latest Ms. Marvel trailer, some new action shots from the upcoming series are featured. While many shots may seem familiar to fans, as they have been showcased in previously released trailers, glimpses of Khan going up against some powerful enemies are visible. Fistfights, explosions, and another chase scene are just some of the action sequences that will be a part of Ms. Marvel, which premieres on Disney Plus next week.

Khan's “cosmic” powers have been a topic of conversation since the first Ms. Marvel trailer premiered. In the comics, Khan is a teenager who is obsessed with Captain Marvel, which remains the same in the upcoming series. However, the comic version of Khan is similar to a polymorph and has the ability to stretch her limbs or expand them. The MCU version, on the other hand, is seen wearing a bracelet that apparently grants her superpowers. She is then able to shoot crystals or create floating platforms. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige did eventually comment on the changes, confirming that the powers had been altered due to the sacred timeline and were based on the current scenario in the MCU.

Even though comic book fans are not too pleased with the change in Kamala Khan's powers, the anticipation among MCU fans for Ms. Marvel is growing every day. With new promotional content being released almost every other day, the studio is driving the message home that a new hero is all set to join the MCU within just a few days.

Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney Plus on June 8, 2022.
