Sci-fi bounty hunters are the best of the best. They're strong, talented, and incredibly deadly. In fact, targets want to stay as far away from them as possible. Interestingly, not all bounty hunters are cruel and cold killers. A few are some of film's favorite characters.

Nevertheless, villain or hero, each bounty hunter brings its own skills, loves, hates, and style that makes them all memorable. Many of them share the love for either money or the hate for their target in common. Despite all these skills and storylines, only a few will ever make it to the iconic status of these fantastically dangerous bounty hunters.

6 Jonah Hex

Taken straight out of the DC Comics and placed into a gripping western sci-fi, Jonah Hex is the legendary bounty hunter with mystical but deadly powers. He can bring people back from the dead, fires machine guns on horseback, and is just an all-around badass. Especially on his missions and to anyone who wrongs him, tries to kill him, or mentions the rather impressive scars on his face.

The film itself explores Jonah Hex as he is given a bounty to kill the man who ruined his life. This now turned bounty hunter is a terrifying force many don't want to cross. He's deadly, brutal, and would do anything to get revenge. It may have done badly at the box office, but in both comics and films, Jonah Hex is a man no one can cross.

5 Greedo: Star Wars

Star Wars is filled with famous and often deadly bounty hunters. Such hunters typically look mysterious and deadly, which is probably why Greedo is so memorable because he looks a little too sweet to be a bloodthirsty hunter. Nevertheless, he was still hired by legendary villain Jabba the Hutt to hunt down Han Solo.

Greedo ended up sneaking his way into Han Solo and Chewbacca's adventures by hunting for a Verillix urn. Shortly after, a bounty was placed on Solo's head and Greedo was one of the first to try and cash in. Unfortunately, it didn't go too well and Solo ended up killing him with his gun under the table. He may not have lasted too long but he was a feared bounty hunter in his day and will forever be remembered as the bounty hunter who didn't make it.

4 Rick Deckard: Bladerunner

Played by charming Harrison Ford in both the first film adaptation and the sequel, Rick Deckard is everything people would expect from a bounty hunter. He's skilled, rather reserved, and has seemingly cut ties with those he loves.

Although his past is shrouded in mystery, Rick Deckard is seen to be a successful killer of androids and clearly demonstrates his skill in fighting, hunting, and staying alive. All these are the quality of an effective bounty hunter. This is present in both the original Blade Runner and Bladerunner 2049 where, although hiding, he shows great strength and skill that keeps him alive long enough to see his daughter.

When it comes to nearly perfect bounty hunters, many of them are seen to be seasoned and a little rough around the edges. After all, they have spent years of their lives honing their craft and skills to keep themselves alive. This is something that makes Officer K so unique and iconic: he's none of these.

He's a replicant, so has no real idea of the dangers that await this job, yet is still perfectly suited to it. He stars in Bladerunner 2049 and proves his loyalty, skills, and understanding throughout the tense action film.

While Spike Spiegel may often be seen as a bit of a slacker, he's still a strong and efficient bounty hunter that many will struggle to forget. However, that's primarily due to his charming and often entertaining personality.

Nevertheless, it's known that within Cowboy Bebop both Spike Spiegel and Jet Black become the most feared bounty hunters ever and are known to be incredibly effective in hunting and disposing of criminals. He may not show it all the time but Spiegel is a particularly effective bounty hunter.

1 Boba Fett: Star Wars

While some may think of the Mandalorian as the most iconic bounty hunter in sci-fi history, they are missing out on the legendary Boba Fett. He is easily one of the most recognized, most deadly, and most entertaining hunters to grace the sci-fi genre. Decades of hunting and stories have brought him to be undeniably memorable and extremely iconic throughout the Star Wars franchise.

He's a fantastic but deadly man who has no quarrels taking out anyone who he's told to, as long as they pay. He was an apprentice to Cad Bane and even managed to both track and kidnap Han Solo during his time on the job. He's a fearless bounty hunter that most people in Star Wars both know the name of and fear.
