Mortal Shell players are likely going to want to stock up on as much glimpse as they can, and are no doubt looking for new methods of farming the precious resource. As a primary method of upgrading one's abilities, players will always be on the lookout for more now that Mortal Shell has finally released. This method provides a quick way to get more at about 11 glimpses per run.

In order to make use of this method, players will need to have defeated at least one of the main three bosses found within Mortal Shell. This will require players to visit a temple and clear it out completely and will result in an NPC named Thestus appearing in the central tower.

Paying Thestus one glimpse will cause him to summon a fog, making different enemies than usual appear in the forest. This is the crux of the glimpse farming method, and players will need to make sure they have access to Thestus' services. This method won't be easy though, as more brutal Mortal Shell gameplay will follow

After spawning a fog, the goal is to find a Grisha enemy, two in particular. The video above shows the exact route needed to find these enemies, but players should be weary of other adversaries while wandering through the forest. For each Grisha killed, the player is rewarded with 6 glimpses, resulting in a total net gain of 11 glimpses per run. This run can be completed in a few minutes if the player is quick at finding and defeating the Grisha, so it averages out at about two glimpses per minute. Grisha acts as a sort of mini-boss in Mortal Shell, so this might be tough.

Of course, players will need to be able to find their way around the forest in the fog, get past the hordes of other enemies that block their path, and be able to reliably defeat two Grisha consecutively, so this isn't necessarily the easiest route to take. With all that in mind and given that souls-like games like Mortal Shell aren't meant to be easy, players that believe themselves capable of doing that should be able to get a lot glimpses rather quickly by repeating this method over and over again. To speed up the run, it helps to run past other enemies to find the Grisha faster, and each time the player does it, they should become more familiar with the route.

Thestus is around to stay so far as anyone knows, so this method of glimpse farming shouldn't go away anytime soon. At the very least, this should serve as good practice battling Grisha enemies and should help bolster the amount of glimpses players have. Mortal Shell has mostly good reviews, so interested players should check it out.

Mortal Shell is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
