Those looking for a way to kill some time during self-quarantine are in luck, as the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account will be hosting a watch-along of the first Mortal Kombat movie tonight at 7 PM PST.

The tweet doesn't name the specific participants in the watch along, but it will likely be someone with more insight into the movie and franchise as a whole. Plus, Mortal Kombat is available on Netflix, so even those that don't actually own a copy will have an easy way to view it should they want to partake.

Of course, the original Mortal Kombat movie isn't winning any awards for the greatest film of all time, quite the opposite in fact, but it's still a cool way to spend an evening for those that are out of things to do at home. After all, self-quarantine has gone on for a while, and there's no telling when it will end.

The Mortal Kombat reboot movie is also on the way, and this could be a good primer for fans of the franchise to get caught up on the series. At the very least, it will serve as a reminder of how far video game movies have come in the last few years, or at least one can hope it will.

The Mortal Kombat watch-along will take place at 7 PM PST tonight.
