When people think about Mortal Kombat, the most common thread in a conversation is just how brutal and gory the game is. With plenty of fatalities and attacks, Mortal Kombat is a series built upon video game violence. However, an aspect overlooked is the detailed and well-thought-out character designs.

In the character designs, one feature, in particular, can be overlooked. Many of the characters have cool designs, like multiple limbs, or robotic parts. Yet, the hair on their heads is an overlooked component of a character. Some Mortal Kombat characters have spectacular hair, and with a vast library of characters, only some have the finest and fairest.

9 Johnny Cage

With the stage name of Johnny Cage, this character took the turn from an action movie star, to a powerful martial artist in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Johnny’s early years in the franchise show him as a materialistic and immature airhead, with a love for all things women and fame. It’s no surprise that someone who cares so much for women and Hollywood takes good care of himself.

Johnny features a good set of hair, with a comb always on hand in case he needs to keep that signature look of his during his fights, or movie scenes. It may not be as spectacular as other combatants, but he holds his own.

8 Nightwolf

Nightwolf

As a powerful and respectful warrior for the Matoka Tribe, Nightwolf proves himself as the archetypal Native American hero. He is proud, fierce, and entirely dedicated to the cause of good. Through visions, Nightwolf can contact the Great Spirit, and the Elder God, Raiden.

With Nightwolf being so stoic and deeply in tune with nature, Nightwolf’s hair being so spectacular is to be expected. Nightwolf features long raven locks, almost like a mullet. It goes well with his attire and personality.

7 Fujin

Fujin in Mortal Kombat 11

The God of Wind and one of the Protectors of Earthrealm, Fujin having spectacular hair is a shocker, considering he has to deal with his attacks of fierce winds, which would make his hair go wild. However, Fujin’s silver and long hair are neatly knotted in a ponytail and a rather spectacular one at that.

Fujin is the younger brother of the other Elder God, Raiden. Fujin has spent a lot of time in friendships with humans, and perhaps the many years he has spent watching them, and interacting with them, have made their sense of hairstyles rub off on him.

6 Goro

Goro is gigantic and intimidating. His Fatalities are infamously gruesome, and he is a fierce antagonist and ally to the legendary sorcerer, Shang Tsung.

As a 4,000-year half-human dragon-man and the prince of Shokan, Goro has appearances to keep up. He was an undefeated champion for 500 years, and it shows in his proud hairstyle. It’s spectacular to witness such a ponytail so high and mighty.

4 Sindel

Sindel

As the ruler of the Realm of Edenia, Sindel harbors a great inner, ethereal power. She is one of the more older and mature characters in the series, but that doesn’t make her any less of a threat. Sindel has beautiful and flowing gray hair, with a black streak flowing through the middle of her hair. It’s a unique style that works for such a regal character.

Sindel is the Queen of Edenia and deserves such a title thanks to her natural affinity to ariel magic. Sindel can levitate and manipulate sonic waves, making her a fierce opponent, even if her hair is almost down to her thighs.

3 Bo’ Rai Cho

Bo’ Rai Cho is a truly underestimated combatant. He trains his most promising warrior students at his home so that no prying eyes can bare witness to the secrets that he reserves for those he trusts. His fighting style is unique and consists of drinking alcohol and even puking it back up to his advantage.

Despite his drunken status, and adoration for all things gross, Bo’ Rai Cho has a respectable and spectacular set of hair. It’s a full head of black hair, tied in a neat ponytail. For someone who drinks as much as Bo’ Rai Cho, many would expect a bumbling mess.
