It has been over a year since NetherRealm Studios released Mortal Kombat 11, which quickly became one of 2019's hottest fighting games. Despite its one year existence in the market, Mortal Kombat 11 continues to be a popular game thanks to the consistent stream of post-launch updates and DLC that the game receives from NetherRealm. Now, players who are interested in experiencing the action-packed gameplay of Mortal Kombat 11 would be happy to know that GameStop just dropped its price to its lowest ever.

Players can now purchase Mortal Kombat 11 for only $19.99, which is 50% off its current price of $39.99. It is unclear whether this price will remain permanent, but it is worth noting that this price is only available in a handful of retailers. What's even better is that GameStop is offering this deal to all console versions of Mortal Kombat 11, which includes the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. The PC version of the game remains at full price at GameStop.

Unfortunately, GameStop doesn't appear to be offering any discount for Kombat Pack 1, which is Mortal Kombat 11's major DLC expansion. Kombat Pack 1 introduces a variety of skin packs, early access to new characters, and 6 new playable fighters in the fighting game, which include Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Terminator T-800, Sindel, Joker, and most recently, Spawn. Players can get the DLC expansion at GameStop for $39.99.

Meanwhile, rumors are still strong about the possibility of Ash from Evil Dead to be introduced as a playable character in the game. Rumors about Ash coming to MK11 began when dataminers found Ash in Mortal Kombat 11's game files. Moreover, leakers claim that new Mortal Kombat 11 advertisements for the Spawn DLC also included a blurb in the copyright section mentioning Ash from Army of Darkness coming as DLC. Of course, it is possible that these leaks are mere fabrications of some overzealous players given that NetherRealms never confirmed that Ash will be included in Mortal Kombat 11.

In an interview with Fansided, Ash Williams movie actor Bruce Campbell revealed that the appearance of his character in Mortal Kombat 11 is unlikely. Cambell said that he has not been briefed by his agent about the addition of his character in NetherRealms fighting game. The actor suggested that it is possible that a deal between NetherRealms and the company that owns the rights to the character, is still not finalized. Nonetheless, there is still no official word from NetherRealms whether Ash Williams will ever join Mortal Kombat 11's roster of fighters.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
