The newest update to the world's bloodiest brawler, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, is releasing soon with all-new characters, the complete story mode including the Aftermath expansion, as well as all previous DLC characters. This truly is the definitive version of the game, so fans who have waited on this iteration are definitely going to want to pick up Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate.

Some of the new characters include returning favorites like Rain, the stormy demi-god, and the constantly requested Empress of the Outworld, Mileena, but one incoming character is new to the franchise entirely. This generation also brings forth the deadly movie icon John Rambo from the Sylvester Stallone Rambo film series.

In a new trailer released by Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios, fans will get a first-hand look at a fight between Rambo and The Terminator where both fighters enter the ring in true fashion to their series. Rambo hops off a mid-air helicopter while The Terminator bursts in through an electrified portal and the two immediately start up their dynamic banter before they brutally clobber each other with their iconic weaponry. It's certainly interesting to see such gun heavy fighters in a Mortal Kombat game, but each fighter is comprised of moves that callback to their original films.

There are two videos in total, each one showcasing a win by both Rambo and The Terminator where fans get to see each of their fatalities as well as their brutal Fatal Blows. Rambo and The Terminator feel right at home in the Mortal Kombat universe like Rambo's explosive kit, and while guns might feel a bit overdone or out of place, NetherRealm Studios do a good job of not making their arsenal feel too overpowered.

While some fans might feel like the inclusion of these characters misses the points their films were trying to make, it's important to keep in mind that this DLC is just for fun and not trying to make any political statements that the films these characters are inspired from so heavily hinged on. Mortal Kombat has always been about the fun of the game without putting too much thought into why these characters are existing at the same time.

With each fighter having a win under their belts in these trailers, it will be up to the fans to decide who the ultimate winner is by purchasing the game when it drops where it will have a huge benefit to those purchasing on next-gen consoles.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate will release on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on November 17th.
