10 Scorpion – Hack And Slash + Spear

Scorpion is a versatile character in Mortal Kombat 11. He has a long list of basic attacks and combos that can be used to punish opponents in a fight. Start the match with basic attacks to land the first hit. The Rising Cut will pierce the opponent with Scorpion’s blade from the bottom of the body to the head and slice them down while pushing them away. Move closer to the opponent and perform a Shin Strike to hit their ankle and follow it up with a Flick Kick to deal significant damage.

The Hack and Slash attack will allow players to kick the opponent’s torso and swing Scorpion’s blade for more damage. Do the Spear to pull the opponent back towards Scorpion and get behind them for a pain-staking attack. People can extend the combo by adding a Hell Port and a Flick Kick in between the Hack and Slash and Spear to drain their life.

9 Sindel – Hair Kut + Mane Squeeze

Sindel is among the fastest characters in the game. Her range of ground and mid-air attacks can decimate opponents in combat. Begin the match with the Hair Kut to plunge towards the opponent and fling them in the air with Sindel’s gorgeous hair. This move will easily give people 2-4 hits and performing the Mane Squeeze will yank the opponent back to Sindel for a kick to the face.

Players that have won matches with Sindel make it a habit to keep her at a mid-range distance from their foes. Combatants can also perform a Hair Kut with an Arcane Overlord to pummel their opponents.

8 Kabal – Nomadic Dash + Hook Slam

Kabal can deal loads of damage from mid-range with attacks that are hard to block. The Nomadic Dash is an attack that will cause Kabal to rush towards the opponent and spin them around, paralyzing their movement for a few seconds. While the opponent is still spinning in the position, perform a Hook Slam to stab the opponent with Kabal’s weapon and pound them on the floor.

The Nomadic Dash gives players adequate time to get a few punches and kicks on their opponents. People can use attacks such as the Extermination Squad and the Hook Grab to reduce their opponent’s health low enough to deal a fatal blow.

7 Shao Khan – Shoulder Charger + Annihilation

Shao Khan deals heavy damage as a character in the fighting game. Apart from having an intimidating structure, Shao Khan carries a mighty hammer that can crush his opponents. People can use Shoulder Charger to clobber their opponents and get a 2-3 hit combo. Once the opponent is shoved to the corner, they can use Annihilation to smash the hammer into their skull.

People can use Amplify immediately after using Shoulder Charger for increased damage. The Dragon Toe and Ground Shatter are powerful moves to add to the mix for bonus damage while getting ready to deliver Annihilation.

6 Raiden – Thunder Knee + Electric Fly

Raiden has been a widely popular choice among Mortal Kombat fans for decades. His lightning-fast attacks make him a feared adversary in online tournaments. Players can use Thunder Knee to charge at their opponents, dealing a direct hit to their upper body. Get a few hits on the opponent with Thunder Knee and force them into a corner with Electric Fly to continue the combo.

If the opponent is out of reach for the Thunder Knee, players can teleport to a nearby location with Sparkport. Performing Immortal Strikes along with Thunder Knee and Electric Fly after Sparkport can increase the combo count to 10 hits.

5 Liu Kang – Dragon’s Breathe + Total Destruction

Liu Kang is a classic character from the Mortal Kombat universe. Known for his dynamic martial arts, Liu Kang can trigger a chain of combos that can put any opponent at the brink of death. Dragon’s Breathe is a fierce technique that lands several consecutive kicks on the opponent and sends them flying. The next best move is the Total Destruction that delivers several punches to the gut.

Dragon’s Breathe along with Total Destruction can be very effective at close combat. Depending on the opponents they face, people can occasionally merge these moves with the Shaolin Warrior and the Flying Dragon Kick to get a 12 hit combo in a fight.

4 Sub-zero – Frozen Over + Slide

Besides his ability to freeze opponents with his ice-cold moves, Sub-zero has a range of attacks that can sap opponents of their health. With the move Frozen Over, Sub-zero can dampen his opponent’s fighting spirit with consecutive kicks. Mortal Kombatants can use Slide to grab their opponents right after and smash them against an ice wall.

Moves such as Permafrost and Cold Embrace can increase the kicks landed on opponents during fights. Players can hurl an Ice Ball to momentarily freeze opponents in place and jump over to them with a Cold Boot to create an opening for a successful combo.

3 Sonya – Energy Rings + Decisive Victory

Sonya can shoot high-impact projectiles at her opponents using Energy Rings. These projectiles hit fast and are tough to evade during fights. Energy Rings can also be used in mid-air, making it a versatile ability in combat. Follow it up with Decisive Victory to grab a hold of opponents to deal lethal damage with kicks and an energy blast.

2 Rain – Rising Water + Riptide

Rain is a close combat expert in the game. He has a gamut of quick attacks and water-based moves to deal devastating damage to his opponents. Dash towards the opponent and use Rising Water to land a couple of punches at the start of the fight. Rising Water can be used with Riptide to get a killer combo on opponents that aren’t fast enough to block Rain’s moves.

Players new to playing Rain in Mortal Kombat 11 can use Water Ball constantly to derail the opponent. Once the opponent is hit with the Water Ball, players can take them down with a combination of Edenian Strike, Katar Kutter, and Katar Swipe.

The Hot Take can be used to baffle opponents and shoot them at mid-range. Performing Marching Orders can land a few punches and kicks on the opponent while decreasing a good chunk of their health. Players can also hit their opponents with Keepin’ It Classy and One in the Chamber to maximize their combo.
