Recently, a Mortal Kombat 11 leak suggested that DLC characters could include returning Mortal Kombat characters such as Nightwolf, Sindel, Fujin, and Sheeva, among other guest characters such as Joker and the Terminator.  However, the Mortal Kombat 11 leak also listed The Evil Dead's Ash whose actor recently stated was not actually on the roster, and because of this, many have begun to doubt the leaked DLC characters.

Nevertheless, we do know that Mortal Kombat 11 will see franchise characters who appeared in previous entries coming back as DLC, with Shang Tsung already confirmed as the first DLC character. This fact has led to a vocal portion of the fan base airing their support for the likes of fan-favorite characters such as Nightwolf, Ermac, Reptile, Mileena, or more returning in some capacity, but given the long-running history of the franchise, there are actually tons of Mortal Kombat characters that could appear as DLC characters.

It's worth mentioning that some of these characters already appear in Mortal Kombat 11, just not as playable characters. For example, Takeda, Kenshi, and Ermac can be found in Mortal Kombat 11's Krypt, among others. This doesn't mean one way or the other that these characters could appear as DLC, but it's interesting to find nods to these characters already in-game.

The original Mortal Kombat released in 1992, and as such, the franchise has had tons of characters over the years. Here's the full list of characters that could appear as DLC in Mortal Kombat 11, but it's worth highlighting that none of these characters have been confirmed at the time of writing:

  • Reptile
  • Mileena
  • Goro
  • Kintaro

It's not possible for every single character to appear in the game for one reason or another (Mileena, for example, is dead following the events of Mortal Kombat X). Despite the fact that some characters simply cannot appear, leaks revealed thus far suggest that the DLC roster could be as hefty as 19 potential Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters. Only time will tell, though.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
