The Mortal Kombat 11 release date has nearly arrived, and leaks continue to surface, giving players more and more details about what they can expect from NetherRealm Studios' upcoming fighting game. In fact, it was just earlier this week that a leak established the Mortal Kombat 11 full roster, and another one now looks to confirm nine of its DLC characters.

As initially shared by Reddit user LeoNatan, within the files of the Mortal Kombat 11 Switch release are the names of several fighters that will apparently be added post-launch. As is advisable with most leaks, LeoNatan's assertion was initially met with great hesitance, but the Redditor has since provided a guide for other players to use to access the files in question from their Switches.

Players have now seemingly been able to successfully follow this guide, and one Reddit user has shared images that ostensibly verify the leak. While fans may wish to remain skeptical of the validity of these claims without their own verification, it certainly seems that this leak has legs.

With respect to the contents of the leak, as previously mentioned, there are nine characters listed as Mortal Kombat 11 DLC fighters in the Switch files. The first is Shang Tsung, which will come as no surprise to those that have been following the game's development, but the other eight may turn a few heads. The full list is as follows:

Shang Tsung

Joker

Nightwolf

Terminator

Sindel

Spawn

Ash

Fujin

Sheeva

This is certainly an interesting mix of guest characters covering Mortal Kombat history and beyond. That said, one character in particular may stand out in Ash, which is likely to refer to The Evil Dead's Ash Williams. Since the game's announcement, many players have been asking that Williams be brought to Mortal Kombat 11, and it seems that NetherRealm Studios' may have listened.

To note, LeoNatan is quick to mention that these findings are simply from the 1.0 version game files and may not cover the full extent of the DLC fighters planned for Mortal Kombat 11. On the flip side, this leak is no guarantee that all nine of these characters will see release, but this preliminary list will certainly give fans something to be excited about.

Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled to release on April 23, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
