With only a few days left until NetherRealm releases the Aftermath DLC expansion for its fighting game Mortal Kombat 11, players have had the opportunity to get to know all about what will be introduced through various trailers and clips put out on social media. The returning Friendship match enders have been a particularly big selling point, with director Ed Boon trolling fans of Mileena using one of the reveals, so it only makes sense that incoming guest fighter RoboCop would get a Friendship of his own.

RoboCop's Friendship was revealed by The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley on Twitter earlier today through a trailer that shows the character donning a gold chain and performing the Robot dance until the balloons signifying the end of the match pop up over him. This Friendship appears to have been unveiled as part of Keighley's Summer Games Fest based on a link attached to the video.

There have been a colorful assortment of Friendships revealed for Aftermath's May 26 release. Jax performs a saxophone solo, Kung Lao uses his hat as a toy train track, Sub-Zero serves ice cream from a small cart, and so much more — all of which are being added free for all players.

Other free elements being implemented into Mortal Kombat 11 this week are new stages and other variants of match enders like Stage Fatalities. However, the new fighters being introduced and a fresh story campaign being added alongside them will cost players $40.

Though returning Mortal Kombat characters Fujin and Sheeva are making their way into the current title through the Aftermath DLC, RoboCop is probably the most highly anticipated due to his status as a guest character hailing from Paul Verhoeven's 1987 film of the same name. RoboCop isn't known for doing the Robot in his original feature, but his kit in Mortal Kombat 11 includes other references like a Brutality that calls in the mech ED-209.

Fujin in particular has drawn questioning from Mortal Kombat players who feel there are other fan-favorite additions that could have been added instead, such as the aforementioned Mileena. Boon said NetherRealm added Fujin over Mileena because he has not been represented by the series for some time, much like the Friendship mechanic that promises to add a lot of fun into the fighting game soon.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now for the PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
