Excitement has reached a boiling point for the newest expansion for Mortal Kombat 11, Aftermath, which will introduce three new characters, skins, and a whole new story chapter. To further get acquainted with the new fighters, a trailer has been released highlighting Fujin's identity and fighting style, all narrated by Johnny Cage.

The characters being released in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath are Fujin, Sheeva, and Robocop, with the first reveal trailer highlightinh the three characters' moves and finishing blows. Many movie lovers will recognize Robocop from the iconic film franchise, however, Fujin and Sheeva may be fairly unknown by new fans of Mortal Kombat. Both Fujin and Sheeva made their Mortal Kombat debut early in the franchise, but have appeared in few MK games since.

Fujin is Raiden's brother and the god of wind, showing off many impressive moves in the trailer. The trailer starts with Johnny Cage introducing Fujin with a sort of cheesy action movie theme. Johnny Cage then starts bragging about how cool Fujin — seemingly a giant fan of the god. Cage does fit some classic digs at Fujin in, saying "Don't be fooled by his lustrous locks and boy scout attitude." During Cage's narration, it appears some cutscenes from the new story chapter are shown.

The trailer doesn't reveal any other moves or combos for Fujin, but instead uses gameplay from the first trailer. Fujin shows off moves utilizing both the wind and his impressive sword. In the trailer, Fujin can be seen juggling the opponent by using moves that utilize a lot of movement and area control, so his combos may be extremely powerful.

Although the trailer is only a minute long, it's a perfect way to build a connection with a fairly unknown character. By having Johnny Cage refer to Fujin as "Raiden's baby bro," it highlights his backstory in a funny, easy to understand way. By far, Cage's best line comes at the end of the trailer when he says "My boy Fujin is coming to rock them like a hurricane." This could be a reference to the popular classic rock song "Rock You Like A Hurricane" by the Scorpions. It could be by accident, but Cage could be making a joke about the most well-known MK character, Scorpion.

The Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath expansion comes out in a week and is also available bundled together with the full game. With the three new characters released with the expansion, it raises questions about another character pack. For now, the Aftermath expansion will give players plenty of new gameplay in the form of characters and a story chapter.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will launch on May 26 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
