Sheeva, Robocop, Fujin

Of course, the biggest content update that players are probably the most interested in is the new roster of fighters that are going to be introduced in Mortal Kombat 11. During the weeks leading up to Aftermath's announcement, rumors about RoboCop coming to the game had surfaced online. Now, these rumors were confirmed by NetherRealm Studios when it was announced that RoboCop will be joining the list of fighters alongside Fujin and Sheeva. Players would be happy to know that all three DLC characters will be available in the game once the expansion releases.

As for the other major content update, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is also set to introduce a new story expansion that will revolve around events that pick up directly where Mortal Kombat 11 left off. The official blurb of the story expansion revealed that "Fire God Liu Kang, the new keeper of time and protector of Earthrealm, must now enlist the help of unlikely allies and familiar foes to forge a new history as the fate of two worlds hang in balance."

Now, players who are interested to pick up Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath should know that the DLC does not come for free. On its own, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is priced at $39.99, and of course, players will need to own the base game first to access the DLC. However, for those who want to bundle the game with the Kombat Pack DLC, NetherRealms is offering a deal that combines both for a cheaper price. Another bundle is also available for new players who are looking for the ultimate Mortal Kombat 11 experience. Below are all the bundles available for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath.

  • Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath (DLC only) - $39.99
  • Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath + Kombat Pack - $49.99
  • Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection (Base game, Kombat Pack, and Aftermath) - $59.99

It is worth noting that players who will purchase the AftermathKollection will have immediate access to the base game and the KP DLC upon purchase. The Kombat Pack DLC introduced six new fighters in the game such as Shang Tsung, Terminator T-800, Sindel, Joker, and Spawn.

Free Features

Lastly, the release of the Aftermath story expansion will also introduce new features to all Mortal Kombat 11 players, with or without the Aftermath expansion pack. The first is the return of the Klassic Dead Pool and Soul Chamber arena accompanied by Stage Fatalities, which are popular finishing moves that allow players to use the environment to brutally end the lives of their opponents.

Moreover, the release of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will also see the return of the Friendship Fatality feature. To the uninitiated, this specific fatality move will allow players to end the battle by doing something nice to their opponent. Currently, it is unclear just how many Friendship moves NetherRealm Studios will introduce in the game, but it wouldn't be impossible for all current fighters to have their own unique Friendship maneuver.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will launch on May 26 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
