  • MK fans have uncovered Tremor's secret Brutality in Mortal Kombat 1, adding a new variation to the character's move set.
  • While not the most impressive Brutality, this discovery has sparked speculation about other hidden content and secrets in the game.
  • Some players have found evidence of cut content and are hopeful that it may be reintroduced in the future as hidden secrets.

Some Mortal Kombat 1 fans have discovered how to perform Tremor's secret Brutality. While most fans are accustomed to the series' iconic Fatalities, a lot of players tend to enjoy this other form of match finisher since they seamlessly flow with the gameplay footage. Mortal Kombat 1's Brutalities can be performed as long as the correct inputs are pressed when certain conditions are fulfilled.

As part of the first batch of DLC, Omni-Man and Tremor were released, with the former being a full character and the latter as a Kameo. Even at the early stage of its release, fans were already quick to discover Omni-Man's secret Brutality in Mortal Kombat 1. Admittedly, while the secret move was merely a variation of one of his existing Brutalities, players were quick to discuss whether there were more in store and whether the hidden alternative was also available for other characters, including DLC Kameo Tremor.

Tremor's Secret Mortal Kombat 1 Brutality and How to Use It

Twitter user MK_habit_addict was one of the first players to uncover and perform Tremor's secret Mortal Kombat 1 Brutality. The secret is a variation on Tremor's "Rock Away" Brutality. While the original sees Tremor smash the opponent on the head with a boulder that ends up displaying a sad face emoji, the alternate end scene has a happy face instead. It's a small but welcome alternative that fans seem to be happy about. MK_habit_addict initially stumbled upon it by accident, but further tweets confirm that they finally discovered the button inputs required. To perform this secret Brutality, players have to press Down and 2 (Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox) during the impact animation of "Rock Away."

While this brutality and the original animation might not make it to Mortal Kombat 1's best Brutalities list, this discovery has led fans to believe that there may be more secrets that Netherrealm Studios has not divulged in regard to secret inputs, variations, and even completely new hidden items to unlock. Several players in the community have tried to deep dive into the files and have found folders and Easter eggs, which seem to imply the likelihood of more content to come.

According to one datamining leak, an Omni-Man special move was cut in Mortal Kombat 1. While this may have been left behind and sent to the chopping board, some fans are still hoping that the developers can reconsider adding it back. Perhaps some are still wishing that the cut content could make it in the game as secrets in the future.
