Mortal Kombat 1 has revealed Omni-Man's brutal and gory fatalities in a new gameplay video. Omni-Man is the first DLC character to be added to the fighting game since its launch earlier this year, as part of Mortal Kombat 1's Kombat Pack, which also features classic MK characters like Quan Chi and Takeda as well as other third-party representatives like DC Comics' Peacemaker and Homelander from The Boys.

This reveal came at New York Comic-Con, which Ed Boon previously hinted at about two weeks before the event. Omni-Man was a highly anticipated guest character for Mortal Kombat 1, due to his overwhelming power and the gratuitous violence that he put on display in Invincible. Many suspected that Omni-Man would likely get a showcase video soon, with some believing he would make an appearance at the convention. These predictions came true, as Omni-Man was shown at NYCC with a brief showcase of his brutal fatality moves.

Released in celebration of Invincible's 20th anniversary, this new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer gives a brief look into Omni-Man's move set, with special emphasis on his Fatalities. There's one showing Omni-Man beating in the face of his opponent, another where he flies to a nearby subway and holds his opponent in front of an oncoming train, and another that has him sadistically crush his opponent's head with his bare hands. Fans appreciated how Omni-Man's fatalities were references to iconic Invincible scenes.

Alongside his move set, fans also get to hear how Omni-Man interacts with the other members of Mortal Kombat 1's roster, with the trailer featuring some of the special intro dialogues that play before a match. Some of these chats describe how Omni-Man arrives in the world of MK, where he is looking to conquer the realms in the name of the Viltrum Empire. J.K. Simmons reprises his role as Omni-Man for Mortal Kombat 1, with many praising his voice work since it sells the character's intimidating presence, with a highlight being how he sees Liu Kang's boast of having erased past timelines as something that makes the Fire God a worthy challenge.

Mortal Kombat 1 fans noticed that this trailer also contained a quick appearance of Tremor, a classic Mortal Kombat ninja character who has the power of the Earth Elemental. Tremor will be a Kameo fighter in MK1. The end of the trailer states that players can get early access to Omni-Man if they purchase the game's premium edition or Kombat Pack, with the character joining the roster in November 2023.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available now for PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
