Reptile is back and seemingly aligned with the good guys, and shared the spotlight in the Mortal Kombat 1 trailer with Mortal Kombat: Deception's Ashrah and Havik, also announced as playable characters. With Fire God Liu Kang creating a new world and giving fighters a chance to pursue a new life, Mortal Kombat 1 promises to bring fans well-known fighters in unusual roles. But a new leak has revealed that this isn't the only surprise in store for Mortal Kombat fans.
Twitter user thethiny revealed that Mortal Kombat 1 will have a new single-player game mode called Invasions. In this mode, Mortal Kombat 1 players will travel through the Mortal Kombat realms and fight the invasions of each season. The leak doesn't give further details, but it does reveal that Invasions mode will feature "immersive battles" and a unique cast of characters for Mortal Kombat players to select their fighter from.
