Mortal Kombat 1 players have discovered a new exploit where Kenshi cancels the kneeling animation of the Sento Stance spirit. Mortal Kombat 1 has a variety of fighters to choose from, but despite Kenshi being a popular one, he is considered one of the least beginner-friendly. But Mortal Kombat 1 players who decide to master his complex moveset will master a character who feels like two fighters in one.
Kenshi debuted in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and has appeared frequently ever since. The swordsman masters telekinesis and psychokinesis, and carries the powerful Sento katana. In the original timeline, Kenshi has great anger towards Shang Tsung, who captured the souls of his ancestors and made him blind. In Liu Kang's timeline, the swordsman is now part of the great Japanese Takahashi family, and the Sento is a relic passed down through the generations. Kenshi is considered one of the strongest Mortal Kombat 1 fighters, and a new exploit could make him an even bigger headache for his opponents.

Twitter user SOULWARRIOR71K discovered an exploit where Kenshi cancels the Sento Stance spirit's kneeling animation by executing a grab. In the video, he performs the grab against Sub-Zero, showing that once the player does it, the ancestor will have its activity refreshed. Twitter user X_AZEEZ3 also discovered the exploit, but while facing Kenshi. In the clip, he shows the opposing Kenshi using the exploit to attack his Reiko and win the fight. In Mortal Kombat 1,Kenshi can use the Sento Stance to summon the spirit of an ancestor to fight alongside him. To prevent players from abusing this feature, NetherRealm Studios employed some countermeasures. One of these measures is to disable the spirit after it has been attacked, with it temporarily kneeling on the ground.
This isn't the first time Mortal Kombat 1 players have seen bugs, exploits, and general issues. Tremor's release in Mortal Kombat 1 was accompanied by a bug that appeared depending on which character he was paired with. Back in October, the East Coast Throwdown banned participants from using Sindel's unblockable, at the risk of being banned from the tournament. A third exploit has already haunted Mortal Kombat 1 players, as it caused General Shao to sink into the ground and reduce his hurtbox. Another case that gained the spotlight was the issue giving an unfair advantage to player 1.
NetherRealm Studios still has to address Kenshi's Sento Stance exploit. But considering how much this problem can affect matches, it's likely that it won't be long before a Mortal Kombat 1 update fixes it. Players can only hope the exploit gets fixed as soon as possible.
