Geras Combos in Mortal Kombat 1

Geras has some of the most versatility in Mortal Kombat 1 regarding the rest of the roster. Thanks to the utility of his technical moveset, concerning his special moves and Countdown system, Geras can land some of the most brutal combos that any fighting game has ever seen.

To support Geras in landing a combo with the most hits, players will want to use Countdown to charge up three Countdown levels, which will then allow Geras to use various special move inputs that help combos last longer. Not only that but with the help of his time-based special abilities and Countdown, Geras may be able to take out an opponent in 2–3 combos.

Mortal Kombat 1: All Currencies (& How to Get Them)

Mortal Kombat 1 has four currencies and one prestige token; here’s what each of them means and how players can earn them.

Countdown will allow Geras to perform some of the best combos in the game. Overall though, Geras, to state it once again, has fantastic versatility that makes him a great rush-down character and a familiar defensive fighter. Once combos, special moves, and Countdown are learned, players can attack their opponents however they feel fit. Here are some more Geras tips:

  • Countdown goes up to three charges. When maxed out, Geras can perform various moves. Make use of said moves to make combos last longer and deal more damage.
  • Enhanced World Stop is Geras' best utility move to deal as much damage as possible before the opponent hits the ground.
  • Geras has plenty of throw moves that easily push past opposing defenses. That said, learn a few block strings to ensure the throw attacks will throw off the enemy.
  • Geras' Slow Down basic attack will easily go into his Fatal Blow.
