Mortal Kombat 1 has confirmed the release schedule for the DLC fighters that make up Kombat Pack 1. Mortal Kombat 1 has earned rave reviews from critics for its hard-hitting fights, impressive graphics on the PC, PlayStation, and Xbox versions, and deep roster of fighters.

Like other modern Mortal Kombat games, NetherRealm is looking to expand the Mortal Kombat 1 roster post-launch with DLC. And also like other modern Mortal Kombat games, MK1 DLC is a mix of original characters and guest fighters, with Mortal Kombat 1's guest fighters all hailing from comic books. The first Mortal Kombat 1 DLC fighter to join the roster post-launch will be Invincible's Omni-Man, set to make his debut in November 2023.

Mortal Kombat 1 Releases Major Nintendo Switch Update

Mortal Kombat 1 releases a highly anticipated major update for the Nintendo Switch version that brings mixed reactions among players.

NetherRealm confirmed Omni-Man's release window at New York Comic Con, where the game's DLC release schedule was also confirmed. Joining Omni-Man in November will be the Kameo fighter Tremor, while Quan Chi is coming in winter 2023/2024, followed by Peacemaker in the same release window. Ermac and Homelander from The Boys are both expected to come spring 2024. The last DLC character to join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster as part of Kombat Pack 1 will be Takeda Takahashi, who will be available at some point in summer 2024.

Besides Tremor dropping in November, Mortal Kombat 1 didn't reveal specific release plans for the other DLC Kameo Fighters. Fans do know that Ferra, Janet Cage, Khameleon, and Mavado are all coming to Mortal Kombat 1 at some point down the line, but it remains to be seen exactly one. One has to imagine they will be paired up with DLC characters, like how Tremor is coming in the same month as Omni-Man, but perhaps the pairings haven't been decided yet.

Rumor has it that there will be even more Mortal Kombat 1 DLC to look forward to beyond what's coming in Kombat Pack 1. While no official announcements have been made, leaks have claimed to reveal everyone coming in Kombat Pack 2. Fans should take the information with a grain of salt, as past Mortal Kombat leaks have proven to be inaccurate, but if they are legitimate, then fans can look forward to Deathstroke, Doomslayer, Harley Quinn, Kano, Noob Saibot, and Sareena joining the roster of playable fighters, while Bo' Rai Cho, Drahmin, Hsu Hao, Moloch, and Rain will be made Kameo Fighters. For now, fans can stay focused on Kombat Pack 1 and the various DLC characters that have been officially confirmed.
