Dataminers have found evidence suggesting that Ghostface from Scream will join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster as a DLC character at some point down the line. Mortal Kombat 1, like many other fighting games, features guest fighters that players can add to their roster. The Mortal Kombat 1 guest fighter list has so far consisted entirely of characters originating in comic books, though leaks indicate that future DLC may break away from that theme.

The Mortal Kombat 1 guest fighters as part of the game's first Kombat Pack are Omni-Man from Invincible, Peacemaker from DC Comics and the John Cena-led HBO series of the same name, and finally, Homelander from The Boys. Leaks have long indicated that Mortal Kombat 1 will have a second Kombat Pack that adds even more guest fighters to the mix, though official confirmation has yet to come from NetherRealm. The recent datamine lends credibility to those claims, corroborating a previous leak about a potential DLC fighter coming to the game.

Although both of his finishers reference The Boys in some capacity, some MK1 players will probably prefer Homelander's second Fatality to his first.

Interloko discovered evidence of Scream's Ghostface joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster thanks to Mileena announcer voicelines that blatantly say "Ghostface." This is certainly the most damning evidence that Mortal Kombat 1 fans have received so far that points to Ghostface being added to the fighting game eventually, but fans should note that MK datamine leaks have not always panned out. As some may recall, there was evidence pointing to Ash Williams of Evil Dead fame joining the Mortal Kombat 11 roster, but that never actually happened.

It should be noted that this is not the first time Ghostface has been leaked for the Mortal Kombat 1 DLC roster. Last year, a leak by thethiny pointed to a potential set of DLC characters, including Noob Saibot, Cyrax, Kotal/He-Man/Conan, Ghostface, an unknown girl, Jade, Cassie Cage, and Kung Jin. This new voiceline backs up this previous leak, and so it does seem like these other characters could very well become part of the MK1 roster eventually.

Other Mortal Kombat 1 DLC leaks have said that Kano, Sareena, Harley Quinn, Deathstroke, and Doomslayer are coming to the game, with Bo' Rai Cho, Drahmin, Hsu Hao, Moloch, and Rain coming as Kameo fighters. Time will tell which MK1 leaks are more accurate, but so far there is more evidence in favor of the Ghostface one.
