Whether it's slaying beasts, capturing creatures, or simply exploring uniquely detailed environments, there's no doubt that Monster Hunter World has plenty for fans to do, but the sprawling experience might be overwhelming to some franchise newcomers – especially those who are still getting used to the title's online features. With this being the case, the game publisher and developer Capcom has decided to release a video guide to offer tips on how to play the action-RPG online.

As seen below in Monster Hunter World's "Multiplayer 101" clip, players are shown how to both find and create a lobby, and are also given a crash course about matchmaking within the game's social features. Essentially, the purpose behind this video is to show that while going it alone in the action-RPG can be an incredibly fun and rewarding experience, the title's multiplayer is where the game truly thrives.

Capcom's decision to teach Monster Hunter World fans about the online aspects of the action-RPG couldn't have come at a better time, as the publisher and developer recently released an update (Patch 1.03) that includes a major focus on fixing matchmaking issues that many players encountered. Hopefully, would-be Hunters won't have to worry about these kinds of problems in the future, but with MHW receiving updates on the regular, such issues are likely to rear their ugly heads yet again sometime down the line.

Bearing all of this in mind, with Monster Hunter World having already shipped more than 5 million copies, it's safe to presume Capcom's Multiplayer 101 video guide will be beneficial to many novices in the action-RPG's sizeable player base. After all, it's highly possible that not everyone who bought MHW is savvy enough to ensure they will be able to take part in the title's online gameplay.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will launch at some point in autumn 2018 for PC.
