Seliana's Sizzling Spice Fest is the latest seasonal festival in Monster Hunter World's Iceborne expansion. During the event, players can take part in special challenges to unlock unique new armor-sets and weapons. Just like previous events in Monster Hunter World, the Sizzling Spice Fest has its own style, and the armor that can unlocked won't be available afterwards.

It's not just unique armor on offer however, there are also a pair of new Dual Blade weapons that have to be seen to be believed. The Strong Ale and Master Ale Dual Blades have the appearance of mugs of foaming ale, which hunters can use to beat monsters into submission. This is somehow done without spilling a drop, which is quite a feat. To unlock the "blades" players will need to complete the Seeing is Believing quest, which can be found under the Events tab.

Know your Enemy

Only players that have reached Master Rank 9 or above will be able to start Seeing is Believing during the Sizzling Spice Fest, as it involves taking on a challenging monster. After picking up the mission, follow the marker to the nearby arena. There'll be a Tigrex waiting there, one of Iceborne's trickier opponents.

Like most of the monsters in Monster Hunter World, the key to beating the Tigrex is understanding it. Players who've already faced the beast will be familiar with its strengths and weaknesses, but here's a breakdown for those who haven't: The Tigrex is a Flying Wyvern type monster, with Fire immunity and extremely powerful attacks. Fortunately, it's also weak to Thunder, and becomes a lot more vulnerable once it's worn itself out.

Drunken Style

Once the fight with the Tigrex begins, players should be careful for its powerful charges, and wait until it slows down before coming in with melee weapons. Once defeated, the Tigrex will drop at least one Spirited Canteen Ticket, and sometimes two. Wearing the Passion Armor, which is another part of the event, increases the chances of the Tickets dropping.

Take the Ticket back to the Smithy to craft the Strong Ale, which will also require two Tigrex Hardfangs, three Tigrex Cortexes, and five Monster Slogbones. After that, the Strong Ale can be upgraded into the Master Ale, which requires another Spirited Canteen Ticket, three Ultraplegia Sacs, three Torpor sacs, and a Conqueror's Seal. The Ultraplegia sacs are dropped by the Viper Tobi-Kadachi and Great Girros, while the Torpor sacs are dropped by the Nightshade Paolumu and Radobaan.
