Considering that Monster Hunter World has been out for a few days, there very well be many players who have gone into the endgame. To that effect, it may be especially important for those gamers to know the best armor combination in the game. While Monster Hunter World is a vast game with many armor choices, a combination of Odogaron and Dragonking armor seems to provide the best in-game bonuses.

The layout includes the Odogaron Mail, Vambraces, Coil, Graves, and the Dragonking Eyepatch. Having two pieces of the Odogaron armor equipped grants the player Punishing Draw, which adds a stun effect to draw attacks and increases attack power. Wearing four pieces gives the player weapon sharpness that doesn’t decrease for a set time, level 5 affinity, level 3 bleeding resistance, level 3 speed sharpening, level 1 constitution, and level 1 quick sheath.

By replacing the Odogaron Helmet with the Dragonking Eyepatch, which gives 30% affinity when hitting weak spots, a nice set of armor with several in-game bonuses becomes completely viable. However, it is noteworthy that the overall benefit of this layout depends upon your weapon, such as the Dual Blades. See our weapons guide for information concerning the various weapons in the game.

While sporting the Odogaron-Dragonking armor, a hunter will be a destructive force with a cool in-game appearance. Obviously, the benefits of armor are paramount but it doesn't hurt that the armor looks pretty awesome out in the wild while looking for every camp location in the game.

It will take some time, however, for players to get their hands on this armor. In the meantime, it may be best to try to complete the game either solo or with a squad.  However, those that prefer co-op should know that the Xbox One matchmaking system is having some issues, but there is a fix on the way as soon as possible.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC released schedule for fall 2018.
