The second Monster Hunter Wilds trailer is on the horizon, a prominent leaker has said. The insider expects Capcom to share another look at Monster Hunter Wilds as early as late May 2024.

Monster Hunter Wilds was first revealed in December 2023 during the latest edition of The Game Awards. On that occasion, Capcom shared a 90-second trailer that offered a glimpse of some of the biomes and monsters that fans can expect from the upcoming game.

Monster Hunter Wilds Trailer 2 Is Reportedly Coming by Early June

The Japanese gaming giant will soon follow up on that promo with another trailer, according to prominent leaker Billbil-kun. The insider has recently taken to Twitter to estimate that the second Monster Hunter Wilds trailer will drop "within the next 10 days," or no later than June 8. While they technically framed this bit of insight as a prediction, Billbil-kun's forecasts have a consistent tendency of coming true.

Elaborating on their latest scoop, the insider even narrowed down this ten-day launch window by saying that the Monster Hunter Wilds trailer will "probably" be part of the next PlayStation State of Play event. The upcoming broadcast is scheduled to kick off on May 30, at 3pm PT / 6pm ET. Based on Sony's track record with State of Play livestreams, the event is likely to be around half an hour long.

Should Monster Hunter Wilds not make an appearance at the May 30 State of Play, there is another candidate that matches Billbil-kun's stated ten-day time frame. That would be the 2024 iteration of Summer Game Fest, which will run from the 7th to the 8th of June. Much like The Game Awards, the event that Capcom used to reveal Monster Hunter Wilds, SGF is organized by Canadian gaming journalist and TV presenter Geoff Keighley. Even if the next Monster Hunter game doesn't make an appearance at SGF, Capcom itself will likely have a presence at the show.

The notion of another Monster Hunter Wilds trailer dropping in mid-2024 dovetails with the game's existing marketing cycle. Specifically, Capcom has already confirmed that the ARPG is planned for release sometime in 2025, so it stands to reason that it will want to show more of it sooner rather than later. Since many contemporary entries in the franchise have hit the market in the first quarter of their respective release year, it's possible that Monster Hunter Wilds will be treated to a concrete release date soon.
