The Infernal Springs is a new arena-style map in Monster Hunter Rise that was secretly added to the game. And by following this short guide, players can find out how to unlock the new area for themselves and face off against the strongest monsters in Monster Hunter Rise in a duel to the death.

How To Unlock The Infernal Springs

In order to do a hunt in the new area, players will have to get through a couple of quests that will take up a bit of time. However, if players are equipped with the best armor sets and weapons, these shouldn't prove to be too much of an issue.

Monster Hunter Rise players will first have to finish up the monster quests from the 2.0 update that included Teostra, Kushala Daora, and Chameleos, among others. Once the player eventually reaches the 3.0 update content, they'll have a quest appear titled "The Crimson Glow" which pits hunters against a Crimson Glow Valstrax.

And once the Valstrax is hunted, players will be given access to five Advanced quests, which are way more difficult than the normal high-rank quests --the monsters hit pretty hard. The Advanced quests are as follows, and all five of them need to be completed before accessing the new area:

  • Dual Calamities
  • Monsters in Ink
  • Of Storm and Fire
  • Scaredy-Cat
  • The Fallen Comet

And once those quests are all wrapped up, only then will the quest appear that will take place on the new secret map, the Infernal Springs. There's also another quest in this same locale that is unlocked after finishing 'Proof of Power' that's called 'Those Crowned Apex' and has players facing off against three powerful Apex monsters.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 is available now for all players as a free update. The update adds a few new monsters, armor/weapon sets, and many bug fixes. During a recent Monster Hunter digital event, Capcom revealed that the game will be getting Capcom Collabs for the next few months that will see Capcom franchises mixing in with the world of Monster Hunter. MonsterHunter Stories 2 will be the first collab for Rise in June, and the next ones will be announced at later date.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available for the Nintendo Switch, with a PC port slated for release in early 2022.
