However, Violet Mitzusune is proving to be more of a challenge than players had anticipated. This guide will help Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players defeat a Violet Mitzusune efficiently and earn its mantle.

How To Get The Violet Mizu Mantle

First and foremost, to unlock the Violet Mitzusune quest, players must reach Master-Rank 10 and complete the Urgent Quest "What Sleeps in the Tower," where players are tasked with defeating a Flaming Espinas. Afterward, they can speak with Doctor Tadori at the Elgado Outpost to unlock the Violet Mitzusune quest, "A Mysterious Pale Flame."

The Violet Mizu Mantle is the rarest material players can earn from a Violet Mitzusune. Breaking its head or tail will give them a higher chance of obtaining one, as well as capturing it. However, before attempting to fight this new sub-species, hunters should first understand its nature and abilities to combat the beast properly.

How To Defeat Violet Mitzusune

As a new sub-species, Violet Mitzusune trades its previous Water element abilities for the Fire element instead. It also swaps its prior weakness of the Thunder element for Ice now. It retains its normal movement and basic attack patterns from a normal Mitzusune, but its abilities take a drastic turn.

As one would expect, Violet Mitzusune are far more aggressive than their regular counterparts and doesn't hesitate to barrage players with flaming bubble attacks. These new flaming bubbles become even deadlier when Violet Mitzusune enters its Enraged state. This new form introduces the never-before-seen ultimate move into its kit, the Bath Bomb.

When Violet Mitzusune enters the Enraged mode, its body becomes engulfed with purple flames, now dealing twice the damage as before. On top of that, if players cannot knock it out of the Enraged state, it will unleash its ultimate move, the Bath Bomb. The Bath Bomb is a giant bubble that will hover over players for a given time. The monster will then perform a dance to release the bubble and cause a massive explosion that can easily knock out any hunters nearby. This move can be interrupted by taking Violet Mitzusune out of its Enraged State before it releases the bubble and lands back on the monster, which damages it.

If players can overcome the sheer barrage of attacks and either defeat or capture the beast, they'll have the opportunity to obtain the Violet Mizu Mantle. Keep in mind that it may take a few attempts as it has a low % of being earned.
