When Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak introduced Rajang as one of the returning monsters, players knew immediately that its well-known Variant, Furious Rajang, wasn't far away. Low and behold, Furious Rajang did, in fact, make it into the endgame experience of the Sunbreak Expansion.

How To Unlock Furious Rajang
To unlock the ability to fight a Furious Rajang, players must first reach Master-Rank 50. Upon doing so, they'll receive an Urgent quest to either slay or capture the beast. After defeating it the first time, Furious Rajang will join the 6-Star Master-Rank quest selection list.
For those who fought Furious Rajang in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the fight against it is more or less the same, with little to no changes. Nonetheless, it's still important to discuss how to defeat a Furious Rajang as efficiently as possible, as its materials are used in many endgame builds.
How To Defeat Furious Rajang
If hunters were struggling to deal with a normal Rajang before, then they're in for a real treat with its Furious counterpart. As one would expect, a Furious Rajang is a variant Rajang that stays in its Enraged state at all times, and it cannot be knocked out of it as a normal Rajang could. Therefore, it's now more violent than ever, and all of its Thunder-based attacks deal twice as much as before.
However, since it can't be knocked out of its Enraged mode by attacking the tail, players should now focus on breaking the horns on its head. Breaking the horns of a Rajang will weaken its Thunder attacks, which should alleviate some of the stress. One thing to remember is that it keeps its overall weakness to the Ice element and resists all others. Using an Ice Hammer would be a good option for this particular endeavor.
Overall, fighting a Furious Rajang is no different from fighting a normal one. Players already adept at fighting its base version should have little to no problems fighting its variant. But for those struggling with the normal Rajang, they should try adapting to a range-based attack style. Rajang is an up-close and personal monster first and foremost, so fighting in close quarters isn't the best option for most situations. However, if they can learn its attack patterns and behaviors, they should have little trouble defeating the raging monkey.
