Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is filled to the brim with extra powerful monsters that can dish out some seriously powerful strikes against even the most experienced of hunters. Even players with fully-upgraded armor sets will find themselves hitting a power wall fairly soon on in their journey through Elgado and its locales, thanks to the Master Rank version of monsters seeing a serious spike in their damage. Some monsters are capable of one-shotting even the most stacked High Rank hunter, fresh off the boat to the newest hub.
Those that wish to survive the new lands will need to build new and improved armor that's capable of withstanding the beefed-up monsters that roam each area. Thankfully, there are some pretty great armor sets that provide great defense while simultaneously imbuing hunters with some great skills. One of those armor-types, the Vaik X Armor, is particularly powerful in the right hands, but players will need to find some particular ingredients to build it. The Large Armored Bream is one of the more difficult items to collect in order to build the set. Here's where players can find the elusive fish in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
How To Get Large Armored Bream In Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
Unfortunately, snagging the Large Armored Bream isn't as simple as finding a secluded fishing spot and playing angler until one eventually shows up. This particular fish can only be found in the Argosy, by sending a buddy to a particular market in an attempt to procure some wares. This means players will need to allow the Argosy box to fill up and keep their fingers crossed that they receive one of the fish.
In order to obtain a Large Armored Bream, players will need to go ahead and send a buddy to retrieve any item from the Icebarb Bazaar. From there, hunters will simply need to embark on quests to allow the item box time to fill up. Eventually, players should get their hands on a Large Armored Bream as a bonus item for seeking items from the Icebarb Bazaar. Unfortunately, there is no way to know exactly how long it will take and players will need a little luck to get the fish sooner rather than later.
Players can make use of the Blinding Bargain or Shiny Bargain Buddy Skills to make it more likely that they will receive rare bonus items through the Argosy. Once players do manage to get their hands on the Large Armored Bream, they'll be able to use it in conjunction with other items to create the Vaik X Armor set, which will provide players with healthy bonuses to Ammo Up, Razor Sharp, and Hunger Resistance. This should help them take on the new and returning monsters found throughout the DLC.
