Players that are trucking through the earlier parts of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will notice that difficulty ramp up pretty quickly. Once players start tackling the newest monsters and making it through Master Rank 2, they'll notice themselves taking a lot more damage from monster attacks. Although the most veteran of players can effectively dodge some of the lesser monsters found throughout each zone, there are some monsters that are punishingly fast and have massive AoE attacks.

Players that hope to survive the latest difficulty spike found throughout Master Rank will need to better equip themselves. Thankfully, after players begin their journey, they'll gain access to a new Blacksmith (and the old Blacksmiths in Kamura will follow suit) that is capable of producing some Master Rank armor with the new parts and pieces collected from the stronger monsters that hunters will encounter. Players can actually craft some pretty powerful armor very early on, as well as upgrade their weapons to do additional damage, as many of the monsters sport immensely larger pools of health.

Thankfully, players can get upgraded weapons early too, if they can grab some Blackened Stiffbone. Here's where players can find the elusive material in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

Where To Find Blackened Stiffbone In Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

MHRiseLavaCavernsBones

Blackened Stiffbone is only found in one location in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Players that want to get their hands on the material will need to scour through the Lava Caverns and find special gathering points. Blackened Stiffbone can only be found in Bonepiles in the Lava Caverns while on Master Rank. Players need to be aware that they will not find the material if on a hunt or expedition on any difficulty other than Master Rank.

There are five Bonepiles found throughout the Lava Caverns, giving players a decent chance to score some Blackened Stiffbone, but hunters should be aware that the material is Rarity 8, meaning it's fairly uncommon. Players who don't manage to find some after searching all the Bonepiles can head back to the Main Camp and wait a moment for the piles to respawn before attempting to trek through and find more. Depending on how fast players are, it may be quicker and easier to simply head back to the village and then return on another expedition or hunt. Players can also equip armor with the Geologist skill, which can help them gather multiple times from one node.

Blackened Stiffbone can give players a quick leg up when it comes to damage output as it's used in the upgraded Master Rank versions of the Kamura Weapons, which can be snagged very early on.
