Monster Hunter Rise was an expansive adventure all its own but the addition of the Sunbreak DLC has expanded the base game by leaps and bounds, adding some entertaining and downright difficult new fights, while also supplying players with new items, armor sets, and weapons to obtain. It feels like an expansion more than a DLC, and dedicated hunters will find hours upon hours of additional content to sift through, pending they can handle some of the toughest fights in the game so far.

Some Master Rank monsters in the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak are downright punishing, and players will need to have adequate offense and defense if they want to survive the areas surrounding Elgado. Thankfully, players are able to craft new Master Rank gear, giving them a chance to stand toe-to-toe with even the most imposing of beasts, but they'll need to collect some rare materials to make the best stuff. The Rarity 8 item, Meldspar Ore, is a particularly useful material that's seen throughout a variety of armor recipes in the new DLC. Here's how players can get their hands on the elusive ore to help build better gear.

Meldspar Ore is a Rarity 8 material, meaning it's only available in Master Rank hunts and expeditions. To complicate matters more, the ore is only found in the sizzling Lava Caverns, meaning players will have to head to the hot zone and attempt to collect the material from the Mining Outcrops sprinkled throughout the area. Thankfully, Meldspar can drop from either White or Blue Mining Outcrops, and there are a total of 12 of the gather nodes spread across the Lava Caverns. Diligent players can farm a decent amount of Meldspar pretty quickly if they're lucky enough. Since these nodes will respawn a short time after players gather from them, they can simply run a lap around the area and then head back to the Main Camp before repeating their path to collect the newly respawned nodes.

To help even further, players can equip armor with the Geologist Skill, which will allow hunters the chance to gather from Mining Outcrops and Bonepiles more than once, effectively doubling the amount of loot they can gather from specific zones. Using these tactics, it shouldn't take players too long to gather the necessary Meldspar Ore they need to help build some stronger Master Rank armor and take on some of the biggest threats found in the new Monster Hunter Rise DLC.
