Title Update 3 is in full swing in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and with it came multiple new monsters. One monster is a Variant of another monster currently in the game, Chaotic Gore Magala.
However, unlocking this exclusive monster can be a little tricky for some players. This guide will help Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players find and defeat Chaotic Gore Magala.
How To Unlock Chaotic Gore Magala
Unlocking Chaotic Gore Magala is a simple matter. Players can speak with Paz the Chevalier after reaching Master Rank 10, from which they will be given the quest to track down and kill a Chaotic Gore Magala. However, while players can hunt one relatively early on, the recommendation would be to hold off on fighting the beast until they feel comfortable fighting a Gore and Shagaru Magala.
Chaotic Gore Magala embodies the best and worst of both monsters, combined into one ultra-aggressive monster that will stop at nothing until the player is defeated. With that in mind, it's time to discuss how to fight one properly.
How To Beat Chaotic Gore Magala
As mentioned, Chaotic Gore Magala is a variant of a normal Gore Magala. Typically, Gore Magala would undergo a transformation to evolve into its Elder Dragon form, Shagaru Magala. However, in a very rare case, if the conversion is stopped halfway through, a Chaotic Gore Magala is born, and it's not happy, to say the least. Since the transformation was stopped, this variant is forever stuck in its 50/50 state of being half Gore and half Shagaru Magala, and thus lives in constant turmoil.
Due to this incomplete form, Chaotic Gore Magala possesses attacks from both Gore and Shagaru Magala, which are now more powerful than ever. However, unlike the other two, this monster is twice as aggressive and will constantly barrage hunters with the Frenzy virus. To counteract this, players should bring plenty of healing items and nullberries to help deal with the virus. Like Gore Magala, the Chaotic Variant is weak to the Fire element, so Fire-based weapons will work best against the beast.
For the most part, fighting it is more or less the same as fighting a normal Gore Magala, but with its aggression dialed up a few notches; however, players should be warned, as when Chaotic Gore Magala enters its Frenzied state, it will then begin to use attacks from Shagaru Magala. These attacks, in most cases, will one-shot players. However, the Frenzied state can be broken by repeatedly hitting its head. Eventually, Chaotic Gore Magala will finally be brought down and put to rest for good.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is now available for the Nintendo Switch and PC.
