Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players that are looking to craft some advanced armor and weapons to take on the new Master Rank quest monsters might need to gather some Eltalite Ore to do the job. Since Monster Hunter Rise doesn't explicitly show players where the rare ore can be located, this guide will explain how to get them.

How to Quickly Find Mining Outcrops

While players can simply run around the Sunbreak maps in search of some mining spots, there's an easier way to locate them all in a particular habitat. To show all the mining outcrops during a quest in Monster Hunter Rise, players can open the menu with the + button (on Switch), and then press the Y button to get a detailed look at the map. From here, press the X button to open the Icon List.

Players can use the handy Icon List to make the map only show one specific type of item. By tabbing over to the Materials 2 page with the left and right bumper, hunters can select both types of Mining Outcrops.

The silver ones have common materials, while the blue ones have rarer items. This makes it super easy to find all the mining spots without having to waste too much time on the map.

Eltalite Ore Location in Monster Hunter Rise

Eltalite Ore can easily be found at the following locations in Monster Hunter Rise:

  • Shrine Ruins (MR)
  • Frost Islands (MR)
  • Jungle (MR)
  • Lava Caverns (MR)

However, it's worth noting that players must be in Master Rank to find the rare ore . If players are in Low Rank or High-Rank versions of the biomes, they'll need to switch to Master.

For players looking to farm tons of Eltalite Ore, the best case scenario is to wait until there's an upsurge of Mining Outcrops and make sure to have the Geologist Skill. By having said skill, players can increase the number of times they can use a mining outcrop or other types of gathering points.

Players can see if there's an upsurge of mining outcrops by hitting the R button when looking at a certain quest or expedition at the Quest Counter. The second page of the quest will also show details on any failure conditions, the client's name, and if there's an outbreak of a certain monster.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is available for PC and Nintendo Switch.
