More updates about Capcom's upcoming title, Monster Hunter Rise, has recently been shared to the public by both the game's official English and Japanese Twitter accounts. With the latest news revealing Kamura Village's three new shopkeepers, a new Tweet from the Japanese account featuring the country's TV commercial has finally confirmed the appearance of a returning monster that was only teased in previous videos.

With the variety of monsters arguably being the biggest draw in the action-adventure series, Monster Hunter Rise has capitalized on different social media platforms to unveil more information on its starting line-up of foes. The concept art of minor monsters such as the Bishaten and Somnacanth were featured in official Tweets while the flagship monster Magnamalo was highlighted in several videos, even in the trailer shown during The Game Awards 2020. Returning monsters such as the Royal Ludroth, Pukei-Pukei, and Anjanath were also briefly showcased in some of Monster Hunter Rise's weapon gameplay footage.

In one of the most recent Tweets from the game's Japanese account, a TV commercial teaser was shared for the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise. Showcasing the new environment, gameplay features, and monsters, the teaser seemed like an ordinary compilation of already released footage. However, at around the 15-second mark, the electricity-element monster Khezu was briefly revealed. It was shown slamming the hunter to the ground with its front paws while lightning streaks littered its large body.

Japanese fans on the Twitter thread replied with screenshots of the monster, officially confirming that the Khezu will be making its comeback to the series in the Nintendo Switch title. Known for its elongated neck, deadly electric moves, and ear-shattering screeches, the Khezu was last seen in the Nintendo Switch's Monster Hunter Generations: Ultimate. Unfortunately for fans, it did not make it to the returning monsters list of Monster Hunter World and Iceborne.

With its Monster Hunter Rise render looking more ominous than its previous iterations, hunters will now be able face off once again with the rubber-bodied monster. Fans can only wonder what old moves the Khezu will retain and what new ones will be implemented for the upcoming release. As shown in the TV commercial teaser, even the iconic Rathalos seems to have developed a new intimidating fire breath move. However, hunters will not have to wait too long to find out more. With the game's demo soon to be released, players will be able to try out a lot of what's new in the game before its release date.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released on March 26, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch.
