In Monster Hunter Rise, there are a variety of fang types that players will obtain from the various creatures that inhabit the game's five regions. While the majority of the fangs that Monster Hunter Rise players will obtain are monster-specific fangs from the large creatures that they hunt, there are also a variety of fangs that can be obtained from the smaller monsters that players will find on their hunts.

One of the fang types that players will require in the construction of several early game weapon and armor sets is the sharp fang. Like the acute fang, the sharp fang can be obtained from most of the small monsters across the game's biomes; however, the fang will only drop when hunting the low-rank variants of these creatures.

Getting Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Rise

The eight monsters that have the potential to drop the sharp fang material include: Delex-5%, Jaggia-10%, Jaggi-10%, Gajau-10%,  Zamite-12%, Wroggi-15%, Baggi-15%, and Bullfango-20%. While the Delex may have been the best small creature to farm acute fangs, when hunting for sharp fangs a player's best option is to prioritize Bullfango due to the 20% material drop rate.

There are two biomes where players can find Bullfango spawns. The first location is the Shrine Ruins, and the second location is the Flooded Forest.

In the Shrine Ruins, players will find the Bullfango spawn in zone 9, which is located directly east of the sub-camp spawn. At this location, players will typically find two Bullfango roaming the area.

In the Flooded Forest, there are two Bullfango spawns for players to choose from. The first spawn is in zone 10 and usually contains two Bullfango. Players should be cautious when attempting to farm Bullfango in this area as it is frequented by several of the large monsters in the area.

The second location where players will find Bullfango in the Flooded Forest is Zone 3 north of the large pyramid where players can find the king rhino bug. This location is much more conducive to farming as large monsters do not typically travel to this zone.

There are a number of armor and weapon sets that can be crafted using the sharp fang. The weapons that can be crafted from the material include: Jawblade I, Hack Blade I, and Serrated Jaw I.  Additionally, armor sets that require the material include the: Baggi, Jaggi, Bone, Death Stench, Skull, Rhenoplos, Kulu, and Uroktor Sets.

While players are unlikely to be hunting for sharp fangs in the higher hunter ranks, there are several useful armor pieces that can be crafted using it before players make the transition to high-rank hunts.
