As Monster Hunter Rise players begin to take on high-rank quests, the variety of armor and weapon sets available for crafting will significantly increase. While the majority of the high-rank weapon and armor sets in Monster Hunter Rise require parts obtained from large monsters, there are several that require parts that can only be obtained from the small monsters across the game's 5 regions.

One of the Monster Hunter Rise rare materials that players will be required to obtain for the creation of several armor sets and weapons is the Rarity 6 material - acute fang. However, unlike several small monster parts, the acute fang can be obtained from a wide variety of creatures.

There are a total of 8 small monsters from which players can obtain the acute fang. These monsters include: Zamite, Delex, Gajau, Wroggi, Baggi, Jaggi, Jaggia, and Bullfango. The drop rates for acute fangs from the monsters are as follows: Jaggi- 10%, Jaggia-10%, Gajau-10%, Wroggi-15%, Baggi- 15%, Zamite-17%, Bullfango-18% and Delex-20%.

These small monsters can be found across each of the game's regions, however, the acute fang only drops when carved from high-rank monsters. As a result, players will have to reach Hunter Rank 4 before they are able to obtain the material.

Armor sets that require acute fangs for the construction of specific parts include the: Arzuros S, Baggi S, Bone S, Death Stench S, Jaggi Mask S, Jaggi S, Kulu S, Skull S, Rhenopolos S and Uroktor S set. Additionally, the two weapons that require acute fangs are the Keen Edge II and the Canine Katana I.

Because the drop rate for the acute fang varies across each of the previously mentioned small monsters, players may wonder what is the most effective way is to farm for the material. Luckily, the monster that has the highest drop rate for the material has one of the easiest Monster Hunter Rise farming methods.

To farm acute fangs, players' best option will be to farm the Delex (swordfish looking creatures) in the Sandy Plains. The monster has a 20% chance of dropping an acute fang when carved which is nearly double the drop rate of several of the other small monsters featured.

Players will find multiple Delex in zones 9 and 10 of the Sandy Plains. To make farming for the Delex even faster, players should make sure to unlock subcamp 1 of the Sandy Plains, which will allow them to reach zones 9 and 10 far quicker. Unlike the typical fauna in the region, Delex are slightly more difficult to hunt because they will repeatedly swim underneath the sand dunes making them inaccessible to the player.

To alleviate this, simply stand still in an area populated by Delex until they begin to attack. Once players have the Delex's attention, they can easily be dispatched and carved for their parts.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available for the Nintendo Switch, with a PC release slated for 2022.
