Many weapons in Monster Hunter have elemental damage attached to them which can help to exploit certain monsters weaknesses. Fast attacking weapons benefit the most from elemental damage due to the way elemental damage is applied. This makes the bow one of the weapons that is best with an element attached to it. The Weaver of Flame bow is a bow obtainable fairly late in Monster Hunter Rise, but can serve as players' fire bow should they so choose.

Unlocking High Rank and Rakna-Kadaki

Despite being one of the first monsters ever shown in Monster Hunter Rise, albeit very briefly in the first trailer, Rakna-Kadaki is actually one of the last monsters fought in the course of the game. Rakna-Kadaki is first fought in the urgent quest whose completion unlocks the star rank 7 hub quests. So to forge the Weaver of Flame bow, players will need to not only unlock high rank, but progress through most of it.

Forging the Bow

Once players have gotten to Rakna-Kadaki, they will need the following materials for the bow:

  • 2 Rakna-Kadaki Sharpclaws
  • 2 Rakna-Kadaki Glowguts
  • 4 Rakna-Kadaki Spikes
  • 3 Rakna-Kadaki Silks

This bow is forged from just these materials and does not need to be upgraded from a previous tier of bow. Each material required can also be acquired just from hunting Rakna-Kadaki, there are no materials that needed to be gathered from elsewhere. Even the Rakna-Kadaki armor requires players to get parts from the small monster Rachnoids. Each part also has at least a 10% chance of being rewarded at the end of a hunt so there are no super rare drops like plates or gems that players will have to farm for.

However, while the the bow can be forged directly, it can also be upgraded from the Kamura Iron Bow V with the following materials:

  •  1 Rakna-Kadaki Sharpclaw
  • 3 Rakna-Kadaki Spikes
  • 2 Inferno Sacs
  • 3 units of Rachnoid Silk+

In this case, players will actually have to go outside of Rakna-Kadaki to get the materials. Rachnoid Silk+ is from the previously mentioned Rachnoids, and Inferno Sacs are obtainable from other fire monsters like Anjantah, Aknosom, Basarios, Rathian, and Rathalos.

rakna-kadai material drops

Once all the materials  have been obtained, players can head to either the smith in the village or the hub, pay 54,000 zenny, and have the bow crafted. It has 150 attack, 25 fire element, 20% affinity, one level 2 decoration slot, two level 1 decoration slots, and a recovery type arc shot. It's shot type at level 1 is spread level 3. At level 2, it is pierce level 3. At level 3, it is also pierce level 3. And finally it has a hidden level 4 charge which is pierce level 4. The level 4 charge can be unlocked with the mighty bow feather headpiece, forgeable with arena quest materials.

Upgrading the Bow

Once the final boss of the game has been beaten, the bow can be upgraded using these materials:

  • 2 units of Elder Dragon Blood
  • 5 Rakna-Kadaki Carapaces
  • 3 Firecell Stones

The Elder Dragon Blood can be obtained from the final boss, the carapaces, as is likely obvious, can be obtained from fight Rakna-Kadaki, and the Firecell Stones can be found in ore nodes at the Lava Caverns. Once the materials have been gathered and the bow has been upgraded, it will then have 160 attack, 29 fire element, 25% affinity, the same decoration slots, and the same arc shot type. Its level 1 shot type is spread level 3. It's level 2 and 3 shot types are pierce level 4 and its hidden level 4 shot type is also pierce level 4.
