The development team of Monster Hunter Now, the franchise's upcoming mobile title, has just announced that a new beta testing phase will be opened for players interested in trying it out. However, it seems that the second beta test will have different parameters than that of the first one, limiting those who will be able to gain access to the new Monster Hunter spin-off video game. Now that the last Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak update has been released, there has probably been a lot of community speculation about the future of the Capcom series. No major news about a new mainstream title has been revealed or announced recently, save for minor updates about spin-off games like Monster Hunter Now and Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles. And with Monster Hunter Now slated to launch this September 2023, it seems only fitting that Capcom shifts its audience's focus towards the games that are being released sooner than later.RELATED: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Bug Can Delete Your Crafting MaterialsOn Twitter, Monster Hunter Now shared news that it is opening a second round of closed beta testing for the mobile title. However, it seems that the devs are limiting access to the new Monster Hunter spin-off. According to the post, only those with Android devices will be able to participate in the next round. This is quite different from Monster Hunter Now's initial closed beta period, where users who are both on iOS and Android platforms were free to register to test the game. What's more, the game's website posted that only an estimated 10,000 participants will be accepted for this round.

For Android users that are interested in experiencing Monster Hunter Now and its AR features, it would be best to sign up as soon as possible for the new beta test period. Feedback from the team will given directly to those who were successful in registering, although fans should expect that not all would be granted access to Monster Hunter Now. The second closed beta test will begin by the end of June 2023, so users who registered should hear back from the devs on or slightly before then.

Unfortunately, not much news or gameplay details about Monster Hunter Now have been shared by Capcom or Niantic. The only thing fans have to go on is a short teaser trailer that sparsely reveals some key features like monsters, equipment, and the franchise's trusty Palico companion. Hopefully more information is unveiled after the second closed beta ends, and it gets closer to the title's release period.
